OXM confirms over 250 dungeons

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 7:51 am

Whilst reading the Skyrim article, I noticed this new fact (new to me). Is it a mistake I wonder?

Wow! 250 dungeons! But from what I've heard, if it's too good to be true, then it probably is.

Too many numbers have been thrown around. I'm sticking with 150+, which could end up being 250. We'll know for sure in 1 month.

250 sounds a little high, almost in the [censored] zone of high. Not that I'd complain about 250 dungeons, but I'd have to hear that from someone at Bethesda before I believed it. :tops:

Maybe they said 250 points of interest? Including cities, taverns and farms.

250 POI seems awfully low, considering 150 of them are Dungeons

I guess this begs the question: what are they counting as a dungeon?

If it's what we would typically think of as a "dungeon" ( basically a dark, dank hole you rummage through or maybe some ruins) then that's a lot, if they include other points of interest/ things... it's still a lot of stuff.

Perhaps 250+ dungeons but only 150 unique ones? Maybe a few repeats?

500 points of interest are what Todd said. So 250 is a lot of dungeons. I'd assume 150+, but I can't say for sure.

all i know is there are alot of dungeons and points of interest, thats all i need to know.

Maybe there are a lot of those recked ships we can find in the water and explore?

Let me get this straight, in February, Todd said they were at 120 dungeons. In June, he said they were at 150 dungeons. You're telling me, that in 3 months, they've added 100 more dungeons? When, in 4 months, they've only added 30 dungeons?

Agree. I'm unconcerned with numbers. I'm confident that Beth knows how to make a game so I rest well knowing I'll be happy with the final product.

Sounds a bit suspect to me - I think 150 seems a lot more likely.

I wonder if they're counting multiple zones in each dungeon as distinct dungeons ;D

At this point 150 is the only hard number we can go by, that's the one that came directly out of Todd Howard's mouth and I'd trust it more than OXM. (Half the time journalists make [censored] up for filler anyhow).

He just mixed up two numbers - 150 with 250.
