Ok....i'm going to type a little more about the combat and how it may work.
This is info from OXM UK.
One of the major priorities for skyrim was satisfying hand-to-hand duelling,as opposed to what todd says....
Chopstick fighting in oblivion.
Basically you will no longer, just be waving a supposedly lethal object around at the air in front of you, hits will now connect with a crunch-
and you'll be able to perform finishing strikes, such as,plunging a sabre through your enemies chest. It also says "dust ups" are far more involving.
It also mentions that the feeling of connection between metal and flesh isn't the only change hacking and slashing.
It says the new two handed mechanic, reminds them of bioshock's combination of guns and plasmids.
The difference is,that in skyrim,it allows you to mix and match much better.
It mentions the classic sword and shield combo,block-left trigger ,attack-right trigger.
If you want to bring some magic into the mix, through,a quick-menu for your left hand allows you to swap out the shield for a chargeable fire spell-
while retaining the blade in the other. Sounds to me like you can change quickly/effortlessly.
This new combo would force a change in "Tactics",offering a chance to pummel your enemies from afar, while having your blade ready etc,for close quarters.
If thats not your style you can rack up a spell for each hand, maybe one defensive and one offensive,as another strategy/tactic.
You place the same magic in both hands a yank both triggers at the same time,to make a more powerful version of the original spell.
Bethesda has stuck a masterful balance between the straightforward accessibilty of placing items on each trigger, and a system that offers depth and flexibility.
Naturally,two-handed weapons exist,at which point the left trigger may,for example, block with a broadsword or allow you to aim with a bow.
Nevertheless,it remains a relentlessly logical system, and makes absolute sense for the game.
The speed with which you can switch from all-elbow melee combat to fantastical witchcraft complements bethesda''s new approach to character classes.
There is also no agility to level up now.It says this means you can move more fluidly, switch between play-styles without sacrificing progression elsewhere.
I've just put this here to maybe shed some more light,on what they are doing with combat.
Most you may of heard....take from it what you will
It also says, the leap in visual fidelity from oblivion and fallout is profound.
Also from what i've read,i'm wondering about attributes now...well....they seem to have gone.
This makes me ask,how do we get stronger ,faster etc.
Well at the moment i can only see two-three ways:
1: Your racial ability. Like nords and orcs are naturally stronger.
2: How you design your character build....like,you make your guy more muscular, hense,he is stonger.
3: Perks
At the moment, i can't think of any other way's.
What are peoples views on this?
