Just thought I'd mention it's http://www.oxm.co.uk/26494/the-oxm-podcast-bethesdas-pete-hines/ It's about thirty minutes and involves pete talking about Skyrim and stuff.

I unfortunately don't know that I have the time to listen to it right now. So if anyone wants to recap it for those of us who won't be available, please feel free.

Okay, OXM has a new podcast were pete hines speaks about skyrim, but I cant get it because I don't have Itunes. When I tried to download it, the x64 bit version didn't work

can anyone upload a non iTunes version? Its free anyway.

Small summary:

They let themselves inspire by a lot of different games. Including games from different genres.
Each new games in the series won't just be a next iteration. They want to make a different game each time.
Graphics are important. They determine if someone is interested in the game or not. Quests cannot be demonstrated in a trailer or screenshot, graphics can.
DLC's sell really well, so we can expect DLC for Skyrim. They won't make content that is as large as Shivering Isles was, because it takes too much time to create. Too long for the players to wait.

And the Game...the SERIES has an F load of its own influences and things to bring to frutition in the next game why do you need to derive influence from other games....

Yeah I heard....and im like...we waited 5 years for Skyrim, Oblivion had some side tracks to knaw on while waiting, what kind of crap excuse is that.

I don't "hate" itunes but I didn't want to download and install it just to hear the podcast. But that's just me, I can't speak for everyone. :shrug:

The post above my last post mentioned that the speaker stated they wont be doing large expansion packs because it took to long to release. but DLC's on the other hand they are shining to the idea, he also mentioned that people recently -bought- the horse armor DLC.
