The dragon battle looks epic, makes me think you might need a shield when you fight them.

Well it's the first one to really show how detailed the terrain is on a small scale. I'm totally retexturing those rocks though.

I tried to get a better screencap of the new screenshot using VLC; may or may not give a better impression of the actual colours/detail.

The new landscape screenshot looks a hundred times better than the one with the waterfall, so the latter was probably a very early screenshot. The new one may be my favorite so far, it's quite pretty. ^_^

EDIT: Anybody else find the fact that the interviewer kept leaving the "The" off of "The Elder Scrolls" slightly irritating?

No, but I did find it a bit annoying that he called Morrowind "The other one".

And yes, this does look nicer, but remember that the other one is a close up shot with lots of detail, whereas this is a landscape shot. Could be the same time.

Hopefully people will now stop saying that Skyrim doesn't look better than Oblivion.

When I look at that pic, I can`t help but think "he is going to need a bigger axe"....that axe just looks so small compared to the Dragon..

That new screen looks amazing. Especially the detail in the trail...it's spot on. All the defined contours of its surface; the thinning strips and tufts of grass and weed growing along its edges; the twisting row of stones embedded in the earth that look like they're jutting out at slightly different depths, and the dark dirt of the beaten trail actually looks grainy...like I could go over there, scraqe up a handful of it, and let it run through my fingers.

Great shot...that's what a rocky, forest trail should look like! :celebration:

I like the new way dialogue is done, but hope it doesn't mean I have to sit through them speaking the whole thing in real time to get my quest update! I'm often far too lazy to listen to them speak, when I can read faster, or if I'm feeling particularly lazy, just take the info off the update.

I think people's mental image of what Oblivion looked like is much better then the actual game. It's nice to have the comparison shot like that! Btw where did you get that shot? It's much better then the video screengrabs we've seen so far.

Lol really? That's the entire point of their conversation about the dialog system...that you DON'T have to wait for a conversation to complete...you just walk away mid conversation once you have what you need.

It says you can walk away in the middle of them speaking, and they'll eventually stop, but that could mean if they haven't finished, your quest might not update. I don't know if that's how it will be, but it sounds like it might be.

There is still a screenshot missing.
In the Dutch magazine there is a picture of three white Ice Wraiths circling around. it's very cool, I hope Beth will release a high res version of it soon. :D

Yea but I they say something like "stay until you have what you need" which I figure would be the quest update. I figure it triggers at the start of the quest giving topics rather then the end so you can leave immediately. Staying to hear extra details might be to your benefit though.

No because he said excepting the quest was a matter of doing so through the popup.

On another note, anybody else notice the puzzle lock in pic #5
