I do see a potential for information overload though. I can just imagine the youtube videos to come of ten npcs rattling on at the same time.

Big thanks to 360RPGplayer for uploading it to youtube

Skyrim just gets more and more interesting. It appears conversations are going to work similar to how I assumed and that's a good thing in my book.

Anyone else prepared to be cryogenically frozen until 11.11.11?

I'm still confused about the conversation system. When we engage in dialogue with an npc are we frozen until we press circle (ps3) to close the topics? Todd said you exit out of the topic display and can freely walk away/move around so will we not be able to do so when the dialogue topics are displayed?

This.

The elven armor looks like GLASS... even though its confirmed somewhere to be elven... The GLASS mace and GLASS shortsword proves it... its GLASS armor... and if not I'll rename it in the cs... GLASS

I think you'll find that most of the people that are complaining about lighting, aren't complaining about the lack of shadows, but the overuse of ambient light. That picture is a perfect example. There is no visible light source in that picture but you can see down the cave tunnel like it is daylight out. The lighting in the cave doesn't even match the color of the lighting on his back.

It may not be seen in the pic that doesn't mean it isn't in game...a torch for exxample.

Still looks there's wayyy too much ambient lighting there. Destroying the atmosphere of a dungeon imo.

well there is light on his back that is yellow this could be from a torch that is in a room behind him... the light of the tunnel is blueish like the light behind the undead. there could be a crystal room beyond the undead creating the blue light, or some sort of magic source.

Well, I can understand that. I disagree with that criticism, given that this isn't reality and they can stylize it however they want, and that functionally, not being able to see at all down a tunnel with enemies in it might pose problems. But I can at least understand it.

The main difference is that the road is hand-crafted in Skyrim, while in Oblivion someone just placed a texture on the ground and called it a day.

It's more than that, all the rocks in oblivion looked like blobs of dough painted to look like rocks. And when exactly did the glacier move across Cyrodiil depositing these mini monoliths any way. Looks like Skyrim's geology is going to be more plausible than Oblivion's.

Yup. Looks awesome ;)

But the "road" can still be a texture in that http://i55.tinypic.com/1128p3b.png. It could just be well done parallax occlusion mapping, though it doesn't really look like it.

Yea but I they say something like "stay until you have what you need" which I figure would be the quest update. I figure it triggers at the start of the quest giving topics rather then the end so you can leave immediately. Staying to hear extra details might be to your benefit though.

Nope it's a different one.
And these are blue-ish. The ones in the Dutch mag were white.
