You're not the only Australian here, im from Aus :D there is however either a hugely lazy population or secretive bunch of us here because aside from myself noone i've seen has their location set for aus... besides Sloth :P

To all those not from Australia we can spell our abbreviations regarding our country any way we like and i'd prefer not being associated with Ozzie Osborne the so called "prince of darkness" :P

It's just the way it's said and spelled. (unless you're American, in which case it's Aussie and pronounced aw-sea, because, lets face it, you guys are quite removed from the cultures of the rest of the world, no offence intended)

Ahh, collectivism AND nationalism in the same post? How refreshing.

I got skillz.
Well, there is a reason for it being "Aussie" rather than "Ozzie" in America as opposed to everywhere else. It's based on the totally reasonable assumption that it's spelled like that.
Nationalism I'm not seeing in my post. If I was American, I would partially understand, but I didn't reference my nationality or pride thereof.

Do you really need me to go into all of the little differences in the way Australians speak? We're like any country in the world you have the "lower class" people that speak very different from "normal" society and the upper class who are all prim and proper... I suppose you could liken it to the differences in the way Americans from different states speak, yes the words are spelt the same no matter where you go (in your own country) everyone speaks differently and uses specific slang depending on where they are or where they grew up.

Now that its spelled out for you in plain english i trust you wont have any issues :D

Nationalism can also be observed when it's used to slight a group based on nationality, regardless of where the commenter hails from.

There are threads for people from various systems to gather but then these serve a practical purpose - finding people to game with. I'm afraid if we were to also allow groups coming from different games or living in different places we'd quickly find Brink General overrun.

There's actually a fair population of Australian and New Zealand members on the forums, they represent about http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1105300-community-poll/, comparable to the Canadian or Western European populations here.
