Is or Was Paarthurax on the way to achive CHIM??
He just seems to be one of the only characters who is just at peace with the world,The last one like him was Vivec and He apparently did achive it.

CHIM is different from being at peace with the world, though. He doesn't seem to be aiming towards a realization of the nature of his reality so much as he is towards individual peace and balance.

So no, I don't think so.

Some would argue that they are the same thing,Something like "one needs to understand himself to understand the world".

CHIM is realizing that all reality is a dream... and making yourself become a lucid dreamer able to manipulate the dream

And to attain CHIM one must practice Love. All you have to do is look at Vivec's history as both a mortal and a God to discover that Vivec's Love is not non-violent. Not at all. Rather, Love is what is done for the greater good, and that includes sacrifices and murder.

Only that if what we are told is true and there is no reason to belive otherwise, tyranny is part of dragon nature, they all feel the need to be on the top, to be the one that rules them all, only reason other dragon serve Alduin is because he is more powerfull and they aren't stupid to risk fighting with him.
Personly I belive that what Paathuranax teaches isn't love, and he himself didn't really change that much.
If he lives then at the end of main story then he is taking control of large dragon group, and he will mostly like try to force them to follow the way of the voice, and after that it is possible that he will try to also forced other races to follow his way, as benelovent dictator of world.

I'd say he's a candidate, sure.

We don't know if he has it though, but he could very well be trying.

Also, Dragons are already immortal and outside of time (two things CHIM seems to grant)....so is it really the same thing for them?

No. Being a peaceful or pacifist has nothign to do with CHIM. Tiber and Vivec were very warlike and had a very thick history of betrayal and deceit. Paar is not mediating about the godhead or whats better for everyone etc etc, he is solely mediating on a single word. Different words over time but hes strictly mediating over a dragon language word to make himself stronger in the thuum. To do that for him to concentrate and successfully mediate on those words he has to surpress his dominating desires or else he will go off doing whatever and not focusing on the dragonwords and making them part of him.

If Paarthurnax would achieve CHIM just by being a hippie (undercover, he is traitorous bastard who needs to be slain), then most priests of Mara would achieve it :P
