A Pacifistic Start?

Something that often bother me in the beginning of Fallout 3 is the need to, essentially, accept that I am a criminal and a dissident. I don't have the option to be a "good kid" who just got caught up in Dad's stupidity. Admittedly, the game would be boring if you just lived your days peacefully in the Vault. However, I don't think it's fair that I have to escape every time, or that people have to die. The Overseer doesn't seem like a psychopath, so why do I treat him like one?

So...is there a mod out there that allows a peaceful departure from Vault 101? If not, would anyone be interested in making such a thing? What I'm wanting is, essentially, to answer the Overseer's initial question to you during Escape! with "yes". I want to turn myself in, appeal to the Overseer's better nature (through a speech check) and have him let me go. I'm thinking a scene like this should play out...

Player: [Note from Dad] Sir, this holotape proves I had nothing to do with it!

Overseer: [Success] Hmmm...yes. I see. That does seem to be proof of your innocence. Unfortunately, I can't just let what your father did stand young (man/lady). Here's what I'm going to do. As far as the rest of the Vault is concerned, your father's escape will have to seem like my idea. We can't have people getting...ideas, you understand? I'll tell everyone that the radroach outbreak was your father's fault, and that he, and you, were cast out of Vault 101 for putting its inhabitants in jepordy. Yes, you too. I'm sorry, but I have to make an example.

Player: How will I survive out there?

Overseer: Despite what you may believe, I am not entirely heartless. Take this gun and stimpacks, and a few bottles of water. There is a town of survivors not far from the Vault, call themselves...what was it? Megaton? No, don't ask how I know. Just go.
