Painkiller's Forgotten Oblivion mods...

You are right about everything, except for one point: I promised you a big, black warhorse, but a zebra ride... ;)

Snip

So, the good news is that the bad news will be over soon! :)

Right, it was AlienSlof who promised me a zebra... so, PKR, you see, you're in good company :D (of promise delayers :D)

Yeah, btw, what's up with Slofie? Is she on FO3 modding now? I really miss that long overdue update on her horses... I've seen she's still uploading some of her mods on PES, but I don't know if they are older or new...

I must say, although I do very different things, I was always inspired by her work, her fresh ideas and incredible originality and bravery. Here's to Slof! :foodndrink:

here is from her just before Xmas:

I'm currently losing myself in Dragon Age, it's just my kind of game and has six in it! I even already have naked bodies in it - even better! Best of all, it has gay six in it yey! With a tasteful six scene too! Awesome game!

I don't come by here any more, it's probably easier to message me from my site or on Nexus. I've pretty much retreated from the community as it has so little tolerance for a modder who makes male things. This community's female obsession is way OTT, and it colours everyone's view against any who dare to do something different. The hgec boobie crowd have been spewing hate at me for so long that I've simply removed myself from the community altogether. I stick now to my own webby, a private forum and Nexus, where at least advlt stuff is allowed and I don't get any crap.

Which did not stop her from releasing and updating quite a few mods in December/January period.
She's modding allright, just embittered. I take my hat down before her. Sorry she had to endure trolls...

Well, I've been through my Dragon Age phase as well, but didn't get enthralled to it too much... True enough, I've met on the DAO forums great ex-Oblivion modders (IE. my old friend Giskard) who said it was some of the ES immature community who pushed them away from Oblivion modding... And, with all the respect to the moderators here, trolls are there treated quick and painless - the OP has editing and banning rights on his/her thread, etc.

Oh well, I will probably be told this is a bit off-subject, but I'm afraid it is actually not so much... A more serious/mature community would be more attractive for people like Slof and Giskard, who expect to be shown some well-deserved respect; tolerating trolls only make modders go away... Not to mention trolls are most often people who never touched a game editor, or a 2D/3D program, etc. - they are just lazy users, who grew up thinking they deserve it all and all they have to do to get it is just extend their arm and pick it...

Damn, this post makes me almost want making a mod with a dungeon containing only trolls - named from real forum trolls - which you can torture, burn, maim to death. Unlimited respawn as well!

Hi all,
Nothing new, just bumping the thread so it won't die and saying that all is fine, the WIP mod is still WIP (as in "not dead").

Cheers,
PKR.

Bump for some of my favorite mods...

New visitors to these forums are often posting to ask things like "what are the best mods?"

Well... in my view, PKR's mods are, quite simply, nothing less than Oblivion classics.

For example, Gift of Kynareth adds a challenging quest (for characters around level 20 -- my estimate) which rewards your character with some of best looking armor to ever grace an Oblivion load order.

Cheers, PKR! :foodndrink:

Hi all,
The 3 months bump - nothing much to add, except that I moved recently, so I didn't start working on my WIP - yet.

All of you, have great Summer vacations - if you can afford them, that is... :)

Cheers,
PKR.

Hello people!

Just dropped by to renew my best regards to the community... I know I've been very scarce lately, but I've got a job and that keeps me quite busy... So the bad news is that my WIP/updates are postponed indefinitely (best chance during a vacation, whenever that will be); the good news is that the job is in the game industry, a most welcome intake of fresh air after a 5 years break... :)

I'll be checking the forums from time to time, so please don't be shy, drop a line, see how's old PKR doing... ;) Oh yeah, and those who didn't play my mods yet, this is a reminder to just do it; those who already did, I thank them again and hope they've never been disappointed! :foodndrink:

Cheers,
PKR.

Thank you! :foodndrink: With all the modding I was missing working on games, after doing it for 14 years... ;)

Good to see friends who don't forget friends, too! :)
Bigger and better? Naaah, rather smaller and better! :) It's nothing fancy, casual games, although reminds me a lot of the good old times when playing games like Loom, Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, Full Throttle, etc.

Hey matey! Long time no see! I was thinking about you just a month ago, when I transited your country 2 times (airport connection flights on the way to and from Lisbon, once in Frankfurt, once in Munich) - funny, once I traveled next to a very tall, blond German and I almost asked him if it wasn't you... :) Who knows, maybe it was you! :)

Oh, and thanks for reminding me of the sword - I will oil it today! :)

Talk to you soon!

Hey Khugan, good to see you here! Too bad that project of ours went to sleep - however, I will finish it someday for sure! We haven't put in it so many months of work only to let it rot on my hard-drive... Will keep you updated about any new development will happen. How about you? Still working on your 3D goodies?

Cheers,
PKR.

Maybe it can be done some day. I enjoyed every minute of it. Things seemed to pause as the economy collapsed and we got busy surviving.
Me? I made a few things for FO3, most unreleased. Now, my family has expanded a bit and there is not much time for my hobbies. I'm almost never in this forum anymore, mostly in the General forums for any news on TESV, so it was strange to find myself here and noticing your thread. To the future. :foodndrink:

Same thing here, about FO3... Didn't find enough energy and time to gather everything in one mod, so I only use a few bits in my game...

Hope to hear from you soon again! ;)
Take care,
PKR.
