Considering the way that ghouls have been described as pouring through windows and out of air vents, I would guess that the overall combat model for melee would be much closer to something like Rage.

But you have no problems with "disembodied hands" holding guns? Or sniper rifles lifted to your disembodied head by your disembodied hands? How about a disembodied arm with a pipboy?
Sure, so render the entire body when playing in FP. That's fairly simple, is it not?
Unnecessary. You want to see your feet, go third person.
I haven't played Rage, but looking back at Skyrim, Beth sure have a lot of work to do.
Are you serious? Unnecessary? Third person mode itself is unnecessary. The entire game itself is unnecessary, why do people genuinely say this in response to an idea they don't like in the game?
Because the minority cries of "i can't see my feet", though vociferous, add nothing to the game. It is much akin to asking Chess to be chartreuse vs magenta. It would add nothing and only satisfy a very small minority of people.
And if the entire game is unnecessary, why add anything to it that isn't already there?
