[RELz] Panther River Smuggler's Shack

Download and screenshots at Nexus! (can't post links yet, it's /mods/45752/ )

I've lurked here for a long time and fiddled a lot with personal releases and edits, but this is the first mod I've felt happy enough with and gotten around to releasing to the public. Stopped modding for a long time after losing everything I made in a HDD crash a few years ago, which was also when I learned to back things up and that I should release what I make. Let me know if I did anything wrong I need to fix! Should be clean and I've noticed no problems playing it.

Short Description

A cozy, isolated, abandoned shack nestled deep within Blackwood. With a basemant! And All Natural and Storms & Sounds support for extra coziness.

Description

This is a simple house mod, with no special or elaborate features. It's a little abandoned smuggler's shack nestled deep within Blackwood just next to the Panther River. It has lots of storage, and companion support, with a full pathgrid and a basemant with an extra living area. The shack is located east of the Mouth of the Panther and southwest of Black Dog Camp.

Though this mod requires nothing else, if you have a heavily modded game as I do, then this little shack is made to fit in a modded Cyrodiil. If you have Oscuro's, the nearby camp is indeed full of slavers, maybe giving a clue to what the basemant used to keep. If you have Unique Landscapes, then you might find it surrounded by the beautiful and scenic Panther River, but conveniently in the one cell not changed by UL so as to not require a patch. An All Natural patch is included to allow lighting to change depending on time of day, and a Storms and Sounds patch is included so that you can hear the frequent storms and rain of Blackwood beat against your roof.

Being a home for the shady or reclusive, there are also a couple of hidden containers in this house, namely a painting and keg.

If you do not like to use fast travel, like me, I recommend utilising mod-added Mark and Recall, or else a waterwalking potion, spell, or enchantment, which makes it not too long of a walk from Bravil.

Installation

Extract "Panther River Smuggler's Shack.esp" from 00 Core to your Data folder.

If you have All Natural, extract "Panther River Smuggler's Shack All Natural.esp" from 10 All Natural Support to your Data folder.

If you have Storms and Sounds, then extract "Panther River Smuggler's Shack Storms & Sounds.esp" from 20 Storms & Sounds Support to your Data folder.

Uninstallation

Remove any of your items from the shack, and make sure you are not in it or right outside of it. Then just uncheck and delete the esp(s).

Notes

If you are a cheater, or just want to quickly check it out ingame to make sure you like it, the cell names for the COC command are:

PantherRiverSmugglersShackEx -- the exterior
PantherRiverSmugglersShack -- the main interior
PantherRiverSmugglersShackBasemant -- the basemant interior

If you are paranoid of what mods contain and don't want to muck around in TES4Edit to make sure I haven't added ten sets of daedric armour in the basemant, then the contents just outside, and inside the shack and basemant are:

- some polypores outside growing on the wood
- a piece of nightshade
- lower class clutter
- ironwood nuts, breadloafs, blackberries, rice, corn, apples, tomatos
- a plaid shirt, rough leather shoes
- a black hood, and robe
- leather gloves and boots
- an iron bow and three dwarven arrows
- some parchment, crumpled paper, a couple books about leyawiin and the east, a mod-added note with a couple sentences of backstory
... and a couple other decorative clutter things you don't care about like an inkwell and quill and a couple baskets and oars and spoons and forks and cloths and...

All containers are dupes of vanilla ones and set not to respawn.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for the mod :)

I appreciate that there is no need for a UL patch. Looks good.

I know the way you thought this, but if you add a 'price' to this house, I think it would be better for some of the downloaders. But maybe it's just me.
