Pants vs. Shorts

Post » Thu Apr 24, 2014 8:41 am

It's getting warm again, so shorts are viable leg wear once more. Some prefer shorts because they are comfortable and easy to wear. Others prefer pants because they cover their pallid legs. Though I am aware that many people prefer wearing alternatives to these two, I'd like to focus on these two articles of clothing.

Which is better, pants or shorts?

I wear pants all the time, no matter what. I like the way they look more, the minimal amount of protection they give me, and I just feel weird without them.

Both. Shorts at home and pants outside.

Shorts are cool. Sometimes. I don't mind exposing my pallid legs.

I'm open to either pants or shorts, I prefer pants because they offer more protection and often go better with my outfits. Though I wear shorts when it is warm.

ha this is me exactly...shorts feel so strange to me, like I'm being caught with my pants down. The only shorts I wear are boxer shorts beneath my jeans

I remember when I used to go to the gym and people would look at me funny because I'd walk in wearing jeans and a T-shirt, take off my T to be more comfy in my wife beater beneath then go right to hitting the weights after a bit of a stretch. I don't see the need to get all changed into fancy gym clothes when you're just gonna take a shower after anyway, why change 3 times?

Pants.

And, might I suggest adding a poll to this thread?

I love wearing shorts. Comfy and can be stylish too. Though depending on the occasion I'd have to wear pants and I'm okay with that.

Shorts are nice if it's hot and I'm going to be somewhere that very casual dress is appropriate. Otherwise...pants/jeans.

I wear shorts pretty much all year round because I'm not a silly Californian who mistakenly believes it ever gets cold in Southern California.

Of course I do wear pants when at work and similar types of situations.

Shorts, definitely. Much more comfortable, especially since pants are usually too tight for my legs (I'm genetically predispositioned to having large, muscular legs :hehe: ), and I can regulate my body heat easier. Speaking of which, I need to talk to someone at work about getting shorts as part of my work uniform...
