Damnit, why did they have to go and show almost all of my favorite routes ? :(

Oh well atleast the video didnt show a few of them.

Anyways this is pretty much how I always play the game, and I can tell you it is definatly much more rewarding then just running and gunning on the floor.

I will how ever say I am suprised I don't see you use the jump from while hanging on a ledge to another ledge behind it. Its extremly effective for maps such as aquarium, you can really get the drop on someone if you can do it quickly.

Also theres a very nice jump from the Crane in container city, to the containers close to res spawn.

Edit: almost forgot to applaud the music, its a great match.

If you're wondering how to go about this on the 360 controller, http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1192816-wall-jumping-and-you/ might help. I posted that YouTube video down at the bottom to help people get a better idea of what I was talking about. Performing these maneuvers on a 360 with the standard button map seems impossible to me, which is why I quit using it, and made my own.

Makes the Light very much worth it, and more fun!

I've seen the video, it really is good. I always forget about how I can use the SMART system to get places like the guy in the video does.

Just another reason why this game is excellent, and why I feel sorry for all those idiots who have returned it or havent bought the game because of the bad press. Brink does not spoon feed you - you have to go out in the game and discover things. You are need to play as a team and not lone wolf. You have to co-ordinate to overcome obstacles. Sadly it seems these sort of things are beyond a lot of the FPS community and therefore they dont "get" what Brink is.

This is completely stupid :(

More advantages over the heavy body type how awesome. and now every light character and their mother knows about all of it now. I dare you to make a heavy parkour video... oh right.. you can't... Or make a heavy montage using only the light machine guns.. oh right you can't because the carb-9 beats everything a heavy has.. I forgot all of that. Sorry.

Honestly SD should use this as a promotional video.....
On a side note i'm laughing my ass off at the numerous reviewers saying the game was not designed to implement parkour that well simply cause they could'nt see what routes where right in front of them, to me its great that its not that obvious where you can climb and flank its up to the player to think out of the box if everything that was climbable was painted red (ala mirrors edge) it would be too much hand holding.

aside from the combat applications of parkour in the multiplayer game ,SD should really think about creating a seperate mode for this cause the potential is there .
you could literally make a portal-esq style game (minus the portal gun) where you have to use parkour to get thru a level avoiding turrets and bots delivering an objective from point a-to-b , it would be AMAZING!

I'm not really sure what you asking here, the video was more about parkour for the sake of parkour skill not for the combat applications of light vs heavy even if that is what your getting at heavy has quite an advantage over other classes if used properly .

Yeah, Most of these routes I'd have never thought of taking. I didn't even know they were possible, but that's the magic of flanking.

yeah its waaay harder to gain that level of precision on a controller , gotta turn up the sensitivity ,timing is key , doing the quick turns off wall jumping is easier with practice.

Ok so I am trying to change my controller's custom mapping so that I can more easily do the parkour moves. Its easy enough to change the preset, but how in the hell am I supposed to do the custom remap??? I have tried everything in the control menu and checked all of the others. I feel like there is something I am obviously missing but just can't figure it out. I have resorted to sitting in the control menu and button mashing in hopes that I will hit the right one. Can anybody help me?

Cancel that I figured it out.
