no... parthunax, now im in a pickle.

I didnt realize that esbern would figure out on his own that parthy was a dragon, when "the fallen" starts...

I like the idea of the way of the voice, but i also would like that dragon infusion perk since i equally like to kill dragons. I'm not even partial to the potions effect but my roleplay dictates that it would make me feel more of a dragon slayer.

I obviously don't want to kill parthy and even less, anger the greybeards.

I guess ill have to run away from esbern and delphine if they try to approach me with the matter.

I think most people tell the Blades where to get off with regards to Paarth.

I can't remember the exact sequence (only did the MQ once in this game) but I think the quest to make the choice is forced on you during one of those forced greetings from an NPC. I just never went back to the temple.

I can never remember, you on PC? or console? there is an amazing mod that allow to tell Delphine and Esbern to shut up and start actually following their oath to SERVE the Dragonborn instead of trying to boss him/her around like a servant.

xbox, sounds sweet though.

Hmm, i think right after the negotiations delphine comes to you, but i may be able to simply run away from her. (I do this with eltry in markarth so he doesnt give me that god forsaken note)

I believe you get that quest after The Fallen, if you speak to Delphine or Esbern, or Season Unending, where Delphine will approach you if you haven't spoken to them during The Fallen. It's easy enough to just do everything there is to do with the Blades before you do The Fallen: give them recruits, get the infusion from Esbern (although I don't know if it's still bugged on consoles), find all the dragon lairs, take all the equipment you want, etc. Then if you don't feel like killing Parthy, you can tell them to buzz off without losing out on anything!

im before "the fallen" but they still want me to kill parthunax, esbern somehow figured out he was a dragon right after alduin retreated to sovengarde.

They have known about Him for a while, he is notes from the blades dating from the beginning of the third era ("Atlas of Dragons")

I always take that book ha but yeah Esbern has been obsessively studying dragons for years so of course he knows that old Paarth is still up on the throat. Also it doesn't take a Blades scholar to figure out that "Paarthurnax" is a dragon, the name's a dead giveaway and I knew that he was a dragon the first time Arngeir mentioned him.
