Particle emitter tutorial

Post » Mon Jun 20, 2011 11:44 am

Is there another copy of amaels particle emitter page (can't get to the one at http://miolnir.co.uk/amael/ you need some password), or perhaps another tutorial on this subject? I remember being able to see this page as recent as like 6 months ago, but I've been away (school) and now this info is gone. So hopefully someone can help me...

I dearly wish to see it to, I would love to know how to use Particle Emitters! I have searched for a tutorial and so far have found none, I hope someone can find this one =D

EDIT:
Here is a link to a http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6387 which, from what I understand, he uses in his tutorial. This might help, but then again, it might not.

This might help a bit.

Otherwise just look for particle tutorials for 3ds max. Btw, you'll need max 4-5 and the old nif exporter. Later versions of max have no particle support in their nif exporter anymore. You can do a lot in NifSkope as well, copy and paste particles together etc. and you can animate empty meshes, export those and make them parent of any particle system, so the particles will follow the movement of the empty. You can also edit the textures the particles are using and make them emit anything you like to.

I tried copying and pasting a particle emitter from nifskope and it didn't work. I believe ill try making my own with this.

EDIT: EEK, I can't find anywhere to get 3DS Max 4 or 5. Ugh... :/
