Party System for pc?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:39 pm

I was wondering if Brink was gonna put a party system up for the pc, like the xbox and ps3 likely will have. I feel like it's the only thing xbox and ps3 that I as a pc gamer want.

Just wondering nothing else.

Define Party system. I know of a few things like that, but I don't know what you're looking for - I'm not a console player :c

I think by "Party system" - They mean to "Create a group" - "Form a party"

But im curious about this too ( If im getting what the OP means...)

Create Party / Invite Friend too group kind of function. (Yes i know COD is a "Bad approach" too these forums as everything is compared to it - But there "party system" is flawless.... invite as many people your group - That way you ALL end up in the same team.)

But some kind of "Party form" - Example: - You and 2 other friends all log on together - Will there be a...

So thus 3 friends can join together in Multi-player rooms - While being in the same team etc. (Nothing worse wanting to play online with friends - and getting put into seperate teams.)

Or (And i know you can jump in - jump out) But will there be the possibility of creating a "Group" form, so the 3 of you are all in a party together in co-op.

Just for convenience if anything.

The Brink Bible makes mention of "fireteams."

Two players to a fireteam -- your mate shows up differently on radar and in-game (possibly a different outline or radar color), and you stay in that fireteam across servers and maps until you break the team.

Theoretically, the whole server could be composed of fireteams (8 total), and that way the same exact players could coordinate their sessions.

But other than that, Steam chat seems to still be working. :)

Oh really? Huh! I thought it was just limited to two players.

That makes things a good bit simpler!

I had thought it was 2 before as well, think it was Wraith who corrected me.
But yes, if it was only 2, clans couldn't make a full team. Wouldn't make much sense in the long run.

Well sounds good then, I hope it makes it's way over to the pc version, I hate when developers take it out of the pc version.

And yeah was talking about create a party.

Splash Damage is at its core, a PC development team.
There is no way they would do that unless they cut it from every version.

i just watched an old interview i probably already watched over a year ago and they definitely said 2 player buddy system, and they mentioned that person would show up on your compass differently so you can stick together, and i believe some other benefits as well. I guess they changed their mind on that.

Yeah. I guess they did.

EIGHT Players per TEAM. (16 players in total.)

TWO to EIGHT Players per FIRETEAM (which is like a group/party within the team).

Um? I have no idea how to take this tbh - I hate trying to read text, As it can be misinterpreter-ed in so many ways...

But if your being "Serious" - Then i suggest you take a back seat as you obviously have idea what your talking about.

And please dont speak for "PC Community" when you just spluttered the most stupid thing ive ever heard towards PC & Gaming.

And your "appalled"? IS it so hard to believe that PC gaming does consist of having partys/friend communication.

You do realize PC's where doing this before anything else dont you?

And why does MW2 Have to be taking the wrong way towards this subject? IT was only stated that MW" party system was a good approach to let "Friends" play together.

Im still vexed by what youve says - That im actually reading it out loud to try and interpret exactly how i think you intended it to sound.

Why is it hard to believe that a game such as brink ON a pc - Would not consist of having a party system? You do know we can use mics too.

But if all aside you have misread or miswrote or i have mis judged what your trying to say - Then i apologize for my rant.
