Pass variables to a terminal for display?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 8:00 pm

Hi

Script variables can be displayed in a message using showMessage [messageName] [variableName] and then by adding a %.0f or similar in the message itself.

Is it possible to achieve a similar function with terminals and terminal displays; or notes?

Cheers

There are some "standard" variables that you can use in notes - &PCNAME, &PCsix, for example. I don't know if there's a list of them somewhere, nor do I know if they work in terminal messages. You would have to experiment to find out.

I don't think there's any way to use script variables. With a message, you have a function, "ShowMessage", with parameters which can include variables. The equivalent function for notes is "AddNote" which has only one parameter, the name of the note.
