Password Protect Own Servers?

Crytek,

Me and my pals are not hardcoe gamers. If we enter any open servers, we'll not last very long to be honest. We just like to have a laugh playing these games without some uber-assassin stranger blowing us out of our nano-boots every 2 seconds.

So, why have you removed the ability for us to create and password protect our own servers? I'm not interested in Single Player, nor am I interested in the ranking system which every similar game seems to be adopting in bandwagon-jumping fashion etc.

We wanted, expected and deserved (for our money) an improved multiplayer game to that which we have come to expect from you, not a completely different console-derived multiplayer game which throws out important (in our eyes) functionality. We had hoped that this extra functionality, missing from the demo, would be included in the full game, hence our purchases. Possibly foolish of us in hindsight.

In conclusion (and taking into account the angry comments of many, many other disgruntled purchasers of Crysis 2), I and my friends are thoroughly disappointed and regret our decision to purchase this game, and are highly unlikely to ever purchase a Crytek product again.

Nice job.

Totally agree, does anybody know if it is possible to create your own friends server? Without this feature I personaly am not interested in playing the game. Would it be possible to install this feature in a future patch or is there any way to do this from the console/ command line?????????
