I've had Fallout: New Vegas on PC since launch, been playing it with very minimal problems on a MacBook Pro, Vista via Boot Camp. This is with lots of mods running (>40).
Patch 1.3 comes out, and I suddenly start having issues with crashing--usually the game just freezes, prompted by some action like pulling up the PipBoy, travelling into a new space, or something simple like running.
At first I thought some mods I was using might be conflicting with the new patch (this may or may not be true), but I had no luck resolving the issue by removing mods. So I just tried starting a new game, and after several hours, not a single crash. So it appears that the new Patch is conflicting with some information in my pre-Patch game saves. Not sure what that would be, but just thought I'd throw it out there.
Also, for some of those just desperate to play (like me), there is a workaround, it just means starting from scratch.
I really have a hard time understanding how Obsidian could have released a patch that is so buggy. It seems to defeat the purpose of a patch, n'est-ce pas?
