Patch 1.4 Disabled Stereoscopic 3D For AMD Players Again!

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 5:45 am

So like the title says, any one using an AMD card can no longer play with 3D. I had added the line in the configuration file that turns on 3D, but after the patch, 3D is once again disabled. I checked the configuration file and that line is still there. So obviously it no longer has any effect. If anyone knows a work around for this, I would be very pleased to hear about it.

Won't work. For AMD users all the 3D menu stuff is greyed out and the only way to activate it was due to CVars which now were blocked with 1.4 as pretty much most of the CVars as well. Till they are back pretty much no chance to make it work.

Yeah, this svcks out loud for anyone who was playing it in 3D before and now cannot. That feature was pretty much the only thing keeping me playing this game. Back to BFBC2 for me.

It's really sad that Crytek blocked 3D features for AMD players because all they care about is the money that Nvidia was willing to give them to do it. Shame on you Crytek............shame on you...........

Yea AMD always seems to have all these issues with bugs glitches errors with tons of games, seems like they just cant get things right over there in AMD no wonder they had 13 straight quarters of debt and couldnt turn a profit for so long and their stock almost crashed

From the sounds of it, it was Crytek that caused the feature to stop working on AMD cards, I don't think it's AMD's fault.

Wow I really feel bad for all you guys who bought the game. You guys bought it to support a company that promoted an innovative game. But uses out dated technology, embarrassing 'anti cheat' and adding so many limitations to tweaking and customization! It really does blow my mind how a company can do this. To do this to their fans, their time, money and peace of mind.

I think Nvidia screwed up the game for AMD players.
