patch download

The first patch doesn't load by itself at the start of game. Is there anyway to make it work or somewhere to download ?

Thanks.

lol I'm trying to do the opposite...I wanna stop it. Apparently, the only way (I heard) was to get it through the auto updater.

Try going into your game files and starting up 'Crysis2Launcher.exe'.

thanks but I haven't found anywhere a way to download and do it manually (always prefer this method, don't know why)

Yeah, I prefer having the file too. Like I said, I'm pretty sure that the only way to get the patch is through the auto downloader.

havent tried it but if you want to stop the patch from installing during install couldnt you disable your internet connection or unplug the cat5 cable? then it cant access the patch from the internet to update....................just a thought

Well, it did'nt work as I was using crysis2.exe instead of crysis2launcher.exe. Maybe that will work not to load by itself

I think he was talking to me dirkdevlaams. The problem is that the game won't boot up if you try to ignore the patch. There seems to be some files that are saying 'when you try to start Crysis 2, I'm gonna autoupdate the game for you to 1.1. If it is stopped or cancelled in any way, you can't start the game'.

Also, nothing happens if I use the 'Crysis.exe'. Shows up in Task Manager for like a minute and then just disappears. Install the patch though, and it all works fine...
