Can anyone who's participating in the 1.14 beta confirm whether the ability to dupe crafting material shipments has been removed as of this patch? I read a news item over the weekend (tried to post link, but site denied permission; language from article at end) that seemed to indicate that was the case.
I enjoy just about every aspect of this game, but far and away I enjoy settlement construction the most. While I understand that some probably see duping as cheating or breaking the game experience, it's single player, so I don't care. Personally, I headcanon/justify the practice as an abstracted game mechanic by which I purchase a supply line that can grant me large quantities of a given item.
I'm sure others have outdone me in spades, but I've built some amazing settlements and want to continue to do so. If I'll no longer be able to accrue the materials I'll need, I'll probably want to spend whatever time remains before the patch to create a few new playthroughs and stock them up. I hope I'm mistaken, because this change would pretty much kill the long-term replayability of the game for me.
I should probably also mention that I'm on Xbox, so simply creating or downloading a mod to get around the patch is not an option.
Any information would be appreciated.
Here's the language from the patch notes that led me to assume the ability to dupe has been removed:
