It's not a highly successful IP like COD(which had big issues which declined after each installment took em til MW2 to have host migration) So they don't have Microsoft fighting tooth and claw to ensure a smooth experience. When you make Billions you have access to things like this. I have not had many issues with lag in the 7 or so hours of 8v8 all human multi player games I have played.
I have had lots of lag issues, and my experience like yours is purely anecdotal, and therefore inadmissable in court. Seriously though, i'd wager that more than a quarter of people playing Brink online experience bad-lag with a majority of the games that they join. I'd say roughly 35-40 percent, you can't hope to have a successful online game with these kinds of issues. One also should not boast about how you're game is going to revolutionize the FPS industry when a prominent complaint about the game through various gaming-news websites is lag on the online multiplayer.
