So I recently purchased Oblivion on the pc. I have the actual physical disc, and surprisingly it's the T rated version. I need help figuring out how to install patches. Can I just skip straight to the last patch? Or do I have to install them in order?

You can install the latest one. It's cumulative.

Then install the UOP.

It fixes a bunch of stuff that Beth didn't after the final patch came out.

No, it fixes things. Thats the point.

This is one of the safest mods you can install, seriously. Just download the v3.2.0 installer and the v3.4.0 update installer, and run them in that order. You can activate or deactivate the Unofficial Oblivion Patch ESP via the Data Files menu from the Oblivion Launcher menu (the screen where you can choose options, video, launch Oblivion, etc.).

The UOP is recommended and safe to use.

It can affect some other mods for the game, but those are usually noted in the Readme's for those mods and usually Load Order can resolve those issues.
