Patch 1.3 is live.

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 6:28 am

I downloaded it but I haven't activated it. Can you activate it through NMM like any other mod, or do I have to copy it over into the folder? It doesn't overwrite TESV.exe does it?

No. It doesn't even have to be in your Skyrim folder. Just keep all of the unzipped files in their own folder and just open the exe there instead of opening through steam.

Cool, I'll try that, thanks mate.

So they fixed a stupid bookcase glitch and no major game breaking glitches ?

major game breaking glitches mean major game fixing patches and bethesda did this in a week

Exactly. It's not like being the first to get Bethesda's patches is exactly a blessing. It's more like having a Wabbajack aimed at your game.

ROFLMAO!!!!! Post of the Week!!

What the hell is up with this PC elitists vs Console gamers crap coming up in a thread about a game patch being released on PC? Humans... instead of being one godly, impenetrable force, they split up in two large groups and try to destroy one another. :banghead:

I noticed that to.

Ill never understand that mentality. Does it really matter? Really? Do people really get that elite/arrogant/naive persona because they play on a certain platform? Frikin sad.:nope:

Go to:

"wherever":\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

Right click the TESV.exe file and select Properties, then select the Details tab.

Thanks. I was wondering how to figure that out myself.

Nothing like feeling good at someone else's expense, amirite?

Wish people would stop this PCvsConsole BS.... we're all gamers, and we're all human beings.

Hey! I take offense at that! We're not all human beings. I for one am a highly intelligent Grizzly Bear sitting at a computer.

And I'm pretty happy I'll finally be able to update my game soon. Playing on the 360 and luckily read about 1.2 before patching. I'd like to be able to install it to my Harddrive finally.

I hope they eventually fix the other housing issues. Weapon racks, wall plaques, manikins...

Will installing it on the hard drive not mess it up this time? I didn't see that as one of the issues addressed

This. A thousand times this. And also the Wabbajack they hit your machine with. You never know what you'll get from the patch. Hard to top backwards flying dragons screeching at the speed of sound away from you but I have faith!

What a joke this company has become.

Edit:
Oh, also, installing it to the 360 actually caused it to glitch out some Textures originally. They said they fixed it in the 1.2 patch. but I didn't see it worth the download with all the other bugs.

Also the exploding items, the random item movement in your home.

Also when you touch something in another location things move in odd places like under a table set positioned under a table and items being below the surface of the ground.

No kidding

Cheers

This patch is a DISGRACE.

7 fixes total and 3 of them revert 1.2 fixes? Get to work Bethesda. Start fixing your stuff. GOTY? Over my dead body.

I really wasn't having problems on my PC version of Skyrim but when the 1.2. patch came out, the posts were so scary that I never got it. I started a game on my PS3 and that's the only place I ever saw a backwards-flying dragon; the rest were normal and the game worked great.

I now have my PC game up and running again with this new patch and everything seems great. I went to the hot springs area (Bonestrewn Crest is there) and looked for a dragon but I think that may have been one I fought before the 1.2 patch. I'm not positive but it may have been the one that fell into the water and didn't incinerate so no soul absorbed. No biggie, there are plenty of dragons. So anyway, my game looks fine. I don't think this patch addressed the key remapping issues though, did it? I still had to revert the control key back to R to use a soul. By the way, my mouse works fine but it always did, no issues there. I hope everyone gets the fixes they need as soon as they're available. Thank you, Bethesda, you make awesome games.

Wow, they don't fix the fact that no quest begins for me after Diplomatic Immunity, even though I emailed them and they said it will be in the next patch, but they focus on this bookcase glitch, stop rushing your patches Bethesda and fix the bugs that won't even allow us to continue the main quest!

One does not measure a patch quality by the number of bullet points in the patch notes XD
