Patch 1.3 is live.

Optimize performance for Core 2 Duo CPUs -- Yay

Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading -- Can someone especify this issue please ?

Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate -- I didn't understand this one, that much. English isn't my first language.. Can someone explain better for me, please ?

This refers to an issue where y-axis (vertical) movement of the mouse cursor occurs at a significantly faster rate than x-axis (horizontal) movement. It was sort of jarring because you could look up and down way too fast.

Good news. The best news being the bit about LAA being officially integrated soon!

Huh? Where and by whom was this said?

Thanks for the cheap philosophy class. Can I direct you now to the part where it says this is only an incremental patch from 1.2' mess?

You have me thoroughly confused. I don't see them fixing the PS3 save game bug, at least not yet and it could take some time. This doesn't negate my point that it's rather broken for those who suffer from it and it will take some time, maybe months to resolve this issue.

And for the 'cheap' lesson, I advise you to take a reading class instead. ;]

Neither is your gaming console an extension of your nationality. But nice try at generalizing in an attempt to waylay generalizations.

I'd have gotten away with it too ..

Update 1.3 for Skyrim is now available on Steam and is being submitted to Sony and Microsoft. As soon as we have more information on the update hitting PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, we'll let everyone know. Below are the release notes for the update:

Update 1.3 Notes (all platforms unless specified)

General stability improvements
Optimize performance for Core 2 Duo CPUs (PC)
Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly
Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading
Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate

We’re also planning on rolling out support for 4-Gigabyte Tuning (Large Address Aware) next week for our PC users. Stay tuned!

Don't have a PS3 myself (PC) but the save bug sounded intolerable for anyone with multiple players or a dedicated gamer. I "feel" for them.

Resistances and backwards dragons were pretty close to game breaking.

Should they ignore easy fixes just to make you feel they are working on major ones?

The total lack of Y-movement was pretty big for some of us, too.

Any idea when the PS3 patch will 'go live', usually a day later isn't it?

Not sure there's a usually. THere's a cost and a certification process for consoles, so it really depends on how efficient Sony and Microsoft are.

Does anyone know when this is coming to consoles?

As the blog post states, it's being submitted to Sony and Microsoft. Don't have a firm date yet, but usually it takes at least a few business days. We'll keep everyone updated.

Usually within a week so far I have noticed with most games. Maybe even faster since it's an AAA game.

And exactly how many times I must say "patch for the patch" or "incremental patch" for you to understand? As far as I know, the PS3 save issue was there since 1.1. Who exactly needs reading classes, then?

Anyone else think some of the textures are different? This the first time I've loaded the game up since the weekend and everything seems a bit more detailed around Whiterun (not been anywhere else yet).

Hmmm... last time I checked, this thread is in the Skyrim General Discussion forum, and the title is "Patch 1.3 is live.". What about that makes this a thread solely about PC?

Not to pick a fight but, it isn't a new development that consoles get patches after PCs. Why any console player would assume that "Patch 1.3 is Live" includes consoles is beyond me. It even stated in the post http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1300562-skyrim-what-were-working-on/ that "This week we released update 1.2 across all platforms, and we’ll be releasing an incremental update next week. We anticipate it will be up on PC first, and then hit PS3 and Xbox 360 later in the week." So a statement that "Patch 1.3 is Live" would have to be PC.

Mine just installed. Here's crossing my fingers that this one is all bugfree.

It still have alot of bugs and many CTDs, some places needed to be avoided til they fix it.

You know we love you, right? :)

Thank you so much for listening to the community! Though I know you do for some things, I honestly had no expectations for an official fix on this matter, but there it is. Great job!!

Nothing like feeling good at someone else's expense, amirite?

Wish people would stop this PCvsConsole BS.... we're all gamers, and we're all human beings.
