What version are you running? If it's the GOTY edition, which it kind of sounds like, you don't need to patch it, it's already included.

Oh...I wasnt 100% sure what the patch was for. I was hopeing it would get it to run. Yes I have the GOTY edition, it just keeps crashing after I hit start new game. Ive browsed this forum and other places on the web saw alot of people posting the same issue and tryed what people had suggested to them but nothing has worked....But I think Its my computer, but then again Im not too sure. My mom said my computer has "A Very Expensive Nvidia Graphics card" that she payed extra for but Im not seeing it on my computer?? All Im seeing is the Intel...I dont have high hopes of getting this game running on my PC. (windows 7)

Yes that's probably what's wrong. The game won't run using an Intel graphics chip. You can probably disable it in your BIOS so that the machine only sees your NVidia card. When your computer first boots up,press the Delete key and it will bring up a menu with the various option in your BIOS. You'll need to look around to see if there's a way to disable it. Otherwise you can do it through your Hardware Manager. Another thing you can try is updating your Game for Windows Live software, the version that comes on the GOTY disc is obsolete. I had problems getting my GOTY to start until I did that. You can get it from the Microsoft web site.

For me an old version of GFWL simply wouldn't login so I couldn't access my saves, other then that it reached the main menu fine.
