Just downloaded a new patch and every few seconds I hear a loud ghoul sound and the screen fades to black for a few seconds, I hear another ghoul sound then the sreen fades back.

Happens when I load earlier save in different area
happens when I start a new game
can't play game at all.

I am having the exact same problem. I even tried to uninstall/reinstall. Then started a new game and still same thing. Everything was working fine till the patch.

Thats 3 people who have that problem so far

Same here... Could it be the NVSE mod? Is anyone having this problem thats running the game vanilla?

I ran it without nvse and it still persisted. I used steam and the various startup exes in the game folder to no avail.

I diabled Jarelle Perk Pack and the problem is gone. Other people have mentioned other mods. enclave commander and some underground home mod in goodsprings. PERHAPS IT IS JUST WHATEVER IS AT MOD INDEX 25 in obmm or the mod load list or anything that fiddles with a certain script.

to confirm our problom, yes to anyone who is running nvse mods that uses the script disable those modes and problom solved. nvse will need to be updated.

I disabled enclave commander and life is gooder now

So far it was caused by enclave commander, Jarelle Perk Pack and mod that added a basemant or undergournd house in goodsprings.

Different people said different mods but the process was the same.
Deselect all mods.
The effect will go away.
Then re select 3 or so mods at a time untill the effect reapears.
Then figure out which of the last 3 is the one causing the problem.

I thought it might have to do with where the mod was in the load list but the problem persisted when I reactivated it in another location in the loadlist. It was the mod itself.

It has worked for the people who tried it.
