I am interested in buying fallout New Vegas for my pc, i loved fallout 3 which i had on my 360. however i am staying a house at the moment which has no internet other than one of those portable usb sticks that you stick in. as most people would knoe this costs a lot if you want to do big downloads. So anyway to the question, i have steam on my computer however if i have no internet connection when i try to install FNV will i be able to? If i do need to have an internet connection will i need to download the patch which im lead to believe is 222mb?

Steam will automatically download patch updates.... if you are getting the PC version at least.

oh... with no internet you can not even install the PC version... not sure about consoles.

With the PS3 you do not need to be connected to the internet to install or play.
You don't have to install the patch.

I don't know about the 360, though.

ok so i understand that i need internet to install the game however for the pc version of the game do i need to download the patch before i can play?
