Patch 1.9 Questions

Post » Tue Apr 09, 2013 6:19 am

Hello all,

I just read the patch notes for 1.9 for the Xbox and I have one question.

When you reset your perk to 15 ( Lets say Destrucion ) Does this actually take the perk away or does it stack? May be a dumb question but I just want to be sure. Also can you now set Favorites for followers or will they just know what armor is better based on what you have given them?

Cheers

It takes the perk away.

Also, there are currently around ten 1.9 threads, the answers you seek are there.

I understand that people are curious about this but its been said ad nauseum what this patch actually does.

As mentioned the answers are all over these boards.

To the OP... I'll try to be helpful as SOME of us still understand and remember what a community is, and that not everybody is totally forum-savy like ourselves.

Basically what happens is when you reset your Destruction tree down to 15 - it removes and refunds all your perk points.

So, if you have 7 perk points invested in Destruction and knock it back down to 15, your 7 perk points will be refunded back to you.

Why you would want to do this is when you re-build Destruction, you will gain new levels and - subsequently - additional perk points above your refunded 7 that you could put back into destruction or wherever else you like.

Continuing with mvallus's statement...Reason for such is so that you can focus on what forms of skills you want for your character. It keeps your character from having to use a skill set you wouldn't want to and it does this without limiting you to a certain levels to reaching 100 for your skill set.

That's actually the clearest and most concise answer I have heard. I think a lot of peole are confused because a lot of folks are saying you loose the perks or they get taken away, which is not entirely accurate since they go back into your perk bank.
