Patch 1.3 releases soon.

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:44 pm

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1300562-skyrim-what-were-working-on/page__view__findpost__p__19768966 confirmed that 1.3 is finished and (for consoles) has been sent out for distribution. What things are you hoping were addressed?

While we know (or at least hope) that the issues raised by 1.2 are fixed, I also believe they fixed the moonwalking dragon and the associated framerate drop. Personally, I hope they fixed the broken treasure hunt questline.

I think they fixed everything the PC version had pretty much but nothing more. They finished all patches at the same time but the console patches had to be certified.

I'm not hoping for anything.

Last time I hoped for something regarding this game, my game just broke more. My textures actually got worse. I started seeing NEW bugs.

So, no, I have no hopes. Only dreams. And everyone knows dreams don't come true.

I'm waiting for 1.3 to start a new character, hoping that some of the bugs in my character will have been sorted.

I hope the new patch fixes the magic resistances, on the PC threads it says it does so I am hopeful.

I want the bookshelves fixed too.

I want the ash piles fixed so they actually disappear.

I also have enemies that die and their weapons stay in the place they died forever and the enemies do not respawn where their weapons are at.

I also am having a problem with arrows not disappearing which I want fixed as well.

My textures got worse also (360). I hope they fixed the never-ending Red Eagle quest, among other stuff.

One thing that really bugs me most of all in the 'I wish they would have' catagory, but not a bug, is that horses don't have their own inventory. They're useful in that you can fast travel on them while over-encumbered. Why not just go that extra immersion step and give them saddle bags you can access? But whatev.

Off-topic: Sometimes dreams come true. Cheer up. :hugs:

Wait so they were working on it up until now? I thought it was finished at the same time as PC and we were just waiting for M$ and Sony to finalise or what ever they do with patches.

Even so I can't see us getting anything fixed over the PC issues except maybe the problems that are directly linked to consoles, so I won't be holding my breath for quest related bug fixes.

Red Eagle is a data bug, not a code bug. It is in the Skyrim.esm which is a file, not an executable. Aside from the Day 1 patch, the patches so far have been mostly in the executable.

I hope you're not referring to all the bugs of the game...Oblivion is 5 years old and the Unofficial Oblivion patch is still ironing out bugs.

Besides, the devs also need their christmas holidays. Frankly, apart from the LAA patch for PC users, I don't expect any other patches until January.

Yes but for me there was little really irritating bugs in Oblivion. In Skyrim there is quite a few irritating bugs.

Yes. The bookshelves can be rather glitchy at times, also. I also would like dual-wielding to have a visible second sheathe when not active.

As far as I know, the Vampirism cure quest bug hasn't been fixed yet on consoles (and will never, most surely). I think that's a pretty big irritating bug...

(That bug doesn't exist on PC with the UOP).

That is a big bug. I never once crossed it because I always managed to cure myself before the disease took hold. I also made one vampire who never wanted the cure so that never bothered me. In Oblivion I ran into zero quest bugs. I had things disappear like they was supposed to. I could set up my house perfectly without items exploding everywhere. In Skyrim all of these things happen.

The only bug in Oblivion was occasionally a had one enemy weapon fall threw the ground. The lost weapon was never anything important so that really did not bother me. Oh yes there was a minor display bug where not all of your items shown up if you put a lot of weapons or armor in a container.

While I feel Skyrim has a lot more potential than Oblivion, Skyrim is simply held down by bugs. This game needed about six or more months in development to iron out the bugs. I mean this game does leveling better than Oblivion and the world is far more immersive and its one of the best created worlds ever in a game: its marred by irritating bugs on every front.
