I thought I heard it mentioned that the resistance problem only effects characters made prior to 1.2 being installed.
Has this been confirmed?
My next character I planned to make was going to be either a breton or a dunmer, but it seems rather pointless if they won't resist what they are suppose to.
I made a character earlier today, a breton assassin. The magic resist seems to be working.
My previous save was pointless to carry on (also breton), any spell killed me in 3 hits and elder dragons in a few seconds due to no resist, on master.
It will be fixed as well remember, when it will be fixed is the problem.
I hope this is true. I started a new character after the update before hearing about these problems... But I really haven't been using resistance enchantments on my Imperial spellsword to notice.
Ah really  that svcks. What do you think they were trying to achieve with tampering with resist, maybe to balance destruction magic? They went to far and messed up your own magic resist?
Well, resistance seems to be working fine for my games. I tried roasting a Flame Atronach for a few minutes to No Effect.
And because of the complexity of game code - Magicka Resist may have been destroyed when fixing slowdown issues on PS3, or stopping corpses from attending weddings.

Just wait a week for 1.3
Thats what I'm doing. Skyrim is shelved until they correct this massive mistake.
I havent felt really affected by the lost of resistance afterall. Well I do see the difference, and I've not come up against any Dragon Priests, which were my main reason to use resistance. But now that I've stopped being an effing noob and realised that I could bash a dragon to interrupt their breath, I'm good.
