Game breaking purple texture bug/memory leak unaddressed. Skill trees still in complete chaos. Aka, players being forced to create invisible barriers on what trees they can & cannot use just so they don't break the game. Dragons remain trivial nuisances at best. Cliffracer 2.0. Wonderful

Just in case it helps. The only time I experienced purple texture (on a dragon) was after doing Alt+Tab to return to Windows desktop temporary. Also, some weird stuff happened on other object after doing this. Right now, I don't alt+tab, and if I have to return to windows, I exit the game and then come back again.

I'm not saying that Bethesda can't do anything about it, but it's not the only game that has issues with alt+tab, and once knowing it, I guess it's player's responsability to use the feature or not.

Of course, if this purple texture problems happen without alt+tabing, it's another thing.

OK, but this still does not solve the problem I had with not being able to go on to the next part of missions. But it's a start for people who have the listed problems, so they should be happy; I suppose.

I don't see how a purple texture once every other hour that fixes itself after restarting the game is "gamebreaking"

How dare Bethesda didn't manage to fix every single bug that can appear as a consequence of the million different software/hardware combinations within 2 and a half weeks?

I'm interested to know what "invisible barriers" we're "forced to create" so that the game doesn't break. Can you elaborate?

It's the usual gripe about how some skills/combinations make the game too easy. He expected that to change with the patch.

I think it's about how if you power level the smithing and alchemy trees you can make some really powerful stuff early with a little work. ie: craft a load of iron daggers or easy potions to build easy skill points

Except last time I checked, power levelling was a choice people were free to make and not a bug,

Bethesda has never done a balance patch ever as far as I know so don't expect it.

As far as the patch goes, I had expected some performance issues some players are having would be adressed. If they're not adressed with this patch, I wonder if they ever will be.

Do we know what exactly that last one means yet? Can we finally keybind both left and right hand to one bind?

I think he's talking about gameplay balance issues.
The
Complaint: "Smithing, enchanting, sneak etc are out of balance!"
Answer you get from here: "Don't use 'em."
"So I have to avoid existing content I would like to use, to not break the game and play in a way I'd prefer not to?"
"Yes, simple as that."
"kthnxbye"
issue.

Just a hunch, though.

edit -- beaten to it several times it seems....

Man this forum tends to attract a lot of inconsiderate people. Do you not realize that they cannot fix every single bug in a couple of days? Do you think you are the only other one who is experiencing an issue? Please, be patient or take a seat in the corner.

So instead OP would want them to not release a single patch until all issues have been dealt with? I'd much rahter have one patch now and another in a few weeks than no patch now and a full package in a few weeks.

+1

2 weeks after release and people expect EVERY bug to be fixed ASAP! I feel sorry for Bethesda, they have fixed the Saved Game stutter bug which was a BIG concern with people who have larger saved games and people still feel they have the right to whinge! After the 2.01 patch I have had 0 lag issues, smoother allround and after 3 hours of continuous play!!

I for one are thankful, thankyou Bethesda!

I hope the OP realises that guaranteed there will be more patches introduced over the coming weeks and months there always is, but Bethesda needs to get the gamebreaking problems fixed first like the one mentioned above, it has changed my PS3 experience :)

"I don't like the way some skills work" and "not everyone has the same number of random dragon attacks" aren't bugs.

Shame about the purple texture thing, but that seems to be under the umbrella of "Bethesda, please enable LAA, look at all of these things it fixes" (or it worked for me, at least).
