Hi all just updated via steam and I still cant load my save game. As soon as I see the terrain the game crashed to desktop instantly.

Patched up and got it finally running after a lot of f'ing around, but I to crash instantly when I load my saves....

This is exactly why I don't want to mess around with anything in the G.E.C.K. yet. Who knows what they are going to change to fix all these problems. Funny thing is that my game ran flawless before any patch was out and it started crashing after I updated. I don't even want to turn my game on now to see what happens after this patch.

I'm guessing when they release the big patch there will also be a note saying that you should start your game over.

Can you start a new game? Just curious.

Also, can you load an older save file?

That' why you always make backups of your fallout new vegas folder, save folder, etc. Backups, backups, and even more backups! I just replaced the Fallout NV.exe that was installed with the current patch with the backup FalloutNV.exe that I made before I downloaded the new patch. Now I am playing again just fine till they fix the damn patch.

I now found out that if I load my save game and immediately press the TAB key for pip-boy the game will not crash. As soon as I press TAB again to resume game, it then crashes . I also noticed every time I verify my files it always finds 1 file that failed and downloads it again and if I do the same straight after it finds it again
