Patches Patches Patches

The final official patch was to fix the formID bug, whatever else it did, I didn't notice at the time I applied it.

I've also seen conflicting information that GOTY either has all the patches, including the final, or it doesn't. I've also seen it said that you're not 100% patched unless you install the SI disc. I can't speak to that since my copy of Oblivion is original retail, from before they were forced to update the ESRB rating.

Usually when I reinstall I put the game in, then the contents of my KOTN CD, then the SI CD. Once all that's done, I install the final official SI patch. Patches being cumulative, they contain all the changes from previous versions and you shouldn't really need to sweat any trivial differences in the BSA packs or anything. You will not notice whatever the differences are when you're playing.

True, the GOTY edition needs you to install the SI and KOTN CD, or else your game will not be patched. I supposed that the final SI patch would contain all patches. Oh well, then I guess everything is fine! Thanks for the info. :)

I believe vanilla -> 1.1.511 -> SI (1.2.0.201) -> SI 1.2.0.416 is the way to go - not sure if the textures.bsa/launcher update is needed and why it was not included in SI - will open them up and see...
WRYE BASH - grab 1.1.511 esm -http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a406/dardanov/OBLIVION%20PATCHES%20COMPARISONS/?action=view¤t=120416nonSIvs11511showALL.jpg (http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a406/dardanov/OBLIVION%20PATCHES%20COMPARISONS/?action=view¤t=120416nonSIvs11511.jpg) - so you are good to go for a dual boot SI/1.1 (1.2.0416 non SI actually) setup !!!

4. and final patch 1.2.0416, but here I have a question witch version of 1.2.0416 patch: SI or notSI ??? (because notSI 1.2.416 version have BSA patch but SI version of 1.2.0416 don't have)

So SI - read up on BSA/loader differences (actually the BSA/launcher are installed by the 1.1.511 - you wont have them if installing vanilla - SI - SI 1.2 patch)

The Changes to Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa are not particularly important.

The Female Upperbody texture that caused all that controversy was removed by the 1.1 patch but left alone by the 1.2

As for the Launcher, who uses that anyway?
