where I live I can't download the patches. is there any way to download from a computer? I only have a ps3

If you have the Ultimate or GOTY edition or one that comes with all the DLCs, then you are already patched up.

Barring that, you can't copy the patches from a PC, that won't work.

Do you know anyone within a reasonable distance that you could borrow their Internet Connection? Take your PS3 over there, get the patch, then you can take the PS3 back home again. It's what I did when I lived in an area that only had dial up.
