Patterns, Recipes, etc.

I have been asking about this for the past 3 months so far but have had little feedback.

Okay so I am curious if there will actually be recipes or patterns for cooking, blacksmithing, alchemy(although I am sure they will give us some to start off with due to common sense for certain items - like how to make a simple iron sword or healing potion). I really REALLY am hoping that we will have to actually find (or at least purchase from different vendors from all over skyrim) these said recipes, patterns, plans in dungeons or in dwemer ruins(for example).

Like, let's say the dwemers(or whoever, this is just a random example) knew how to create the most ultimate sword/potion/enchantment/pie what have you. And in order to learn it you must retrieve the pattern/recipe/etc located DEEP within a dwemer ruin. That would be cool.

I loved how fallout 3 had this idea, but wish there was 100s of more patterns to discover and learn. I just don't like the idea of getting handed all of the craftable items on a list without doing all the work to get them. It's MUCH more rewarding to learn from hard earned patterns than to just be given all of it at once like FO:NV :/

Your thoughts?

Well it was more of a subjective post.. Not looking for objective, obvious facts. Thanks anyway though.

recipes for cooking is confirmed, to lazy to post source. not sure about other things, i know alchemy you need to do tests to reveal effects and eat plants to know some of thier effects, and mix different potions, so you make your own recipes for alchemy.

dunno about smithing or tanning

For the skill-based crafting recipes seem to be at least partly perk-based. For non-skill based crafting such as cooking its an open question, though one of the 3-hour hands-on previews mentioned a guy cooking a large amount of fish with no mention of a recipe being needed. Alchemy is traditionally a 'figure it out on your own' affair.

At a guess I'd say it'll likely be mixed.

There shouldn't be specific recipes at all, you just make anything you can figure out through training and trial and error.
