Pauldrons separate from body.

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:38 am

I believe that they are, in OXM Magazine in 1 of the screens he has a single pauldron attached to a leather x shape that's around his naked torso and in another he has the exact same thing but on top of a peace of body armour, now if I'm not mistaken that would mean they are separate. My apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I'm on my iPod and it takes ages to search lol.

And while they are at it, no more of those stupid one piece sets of armor. I Want to be able to wear two different boots and two different gauntlets as well.

I don't really care about boots being separated to left and right, but I want separate right and left pauldrons and gloves.
The screens makes me think they might have that in Skyrim. :vaultboy:

The more armour pieces you have to collect for a full piece of armour, the more fun it gets for me. Looking around shops, trying to get enough money for that next piece of armour has always been great.

I would like this but it would really be hard finding a whole set of fur armor. I wish i could pay a 'fee' to the shopkeep so he can order in the stuff i need.

I dunno. Kind of awkward running in mismatching shoes.

I hope so as well, would be nice. I KNOW Bethesda heard that complaint from us before oblivion was even released, and proved it again in shivering isles, considering a shop was called "the missing pauldron"

if it's not in, it'snot because they didn't know the complaint, it's either engine limitation, or something else.

I think Beth put that screenshot precisely to give us a hint of that feature (separate pauldrons, probably also gauntlets and/or boots).

I only want Seperate Pauldrons if the animation is perfect, and only for plate style armors, not Fur.
I want seperate gloves/bracers/gauntlets.
I think seperate boots would be uncomfortable.

How would you guys feel if pauldrons were part of gloves, and gloves were separated again.

Different boots and different gauntlets is a bit too far, it always annoyed me. Who really wears two different pair of boots or two different pairs of gloves? That's right, people that ride the short bus <_<

Gauntlets and boots come in pairs for a reason. The only thing I really think would be fine coming back is different pauldrons, you really don't need mismatching pairs of bracers, boots and gloves.

you shouldn't worry about finding a full set of fur armour in a cold, nordic, rugged setting such is. That is, you shouldn't have to worry about about it. In Morrowind, fur armour was found all over Solstheim and was even the custom armour of the region. I doubt you will seriously have to hunt it down. I completely agree, however, that ordering items would be nice. Though, I would prefer to have the custom armour thing they had in Bloodmoon and Tribunal brought back. It gave us a real incentive for gathering pelts and raw materials.

Different Gloves are cool: In Morrowind I would wear the Wraithguard on one hand. And Look at Hellboy, Michael Jackson, Baseball players, Fencers, etc.
Different Boots would be uncomfortable.

Or just wear one boot period.

"Nah brother, I found one"

Different boots is a bit much personally, seems like you would want to balance that...to better balance. But I can see wearing one gauntlet. Might have one on a weapon arm and a free hand on my shield arm.

I'd like the Morrowind system of layered clothing. Clothes underneath armor, which is in turn underneath any skirts or robes.
