PAX Info THread #3

Post » Tue Aug 30, 2011 6:18 am

I'm pretty sure everyone has known about all the info of Pax since yesterday. Rehased threads are annoying....

I'm pretty sure people may have been busy during the weekend. With kids, friends, partners, hurricanes..

This is an extremely short article i found it was posted 9 mins ago so i don't think its been posted. Nothing new just a new article

http://www.stripes.com/blogs/good-game/good-game-1.115768/top-5-surprises-of-at-pax-prime-1.153528
Article has other games here is part from skyrim

4. Biggest game to live up to the hype: “Elder Scrolls: Skyrim”

There can be no more doubt that the cream of the RPG crop has for some time come from the West. And with Bethesda Softworks “Skyrim,” it now officially doesn’t get any prettier. It’s hard enough to summarize the massive Elder Scrolls games in a full-length review, let alone get a good grasp of all the changes in an hour of allotted play time. Nevertheless, “Skyrim” is more than headed in the right direction.

The presentation is fantasy at its best: arid, snow-covered peaks are just a few minutes’ walk from lush river banks. In my sporadic wondering, a lively wilderness quickly gave way to an immaculately detailed wooden village. The excellently voiced villagers sounding as natural as the forest’s wildlife ran. A dungeon I found at the top of a snowy mountain castle quickly turned into a molten cave, complete with spiders, skeletons and tricky thieves.

Even the perk system builds on the beauty of the game, stretching across the stars to form constellations of upgrades – an inspired display that borrows from Final Fantasy X. I tested out the fire skills and was soon enough setting all nature of baddies ablaze with a dual-casted wave of flame. It’s extremely promising when a game’s menus are can draw out the same awe as its world. From what I can tell, no amount of horse armor will get in the way this game becoming an instant classic.

Well, there have been some illegal filming of people playing the demo, but obviously I won't allow that in me and zenzi's thread.

Alot of info from official sources in my OP, some pictures too. Also Pete confirmed the HD video of the PAX demo will be released this week

Yes, because of this thread. It's good to have one compilation thread to have all released information shown in an organized way, and also to have a place for all new information to be posted. That way, there aren't dozens of new threads every time a new article or bit of info is posted.

There are 2 threads like this with the same links.

Any word on if "piercings" apply to all races, or is it just Khajiit's that can only have them?

When thread one was made there were 5+ threads for each of the articles. Now, there isn't.

Very slow day 2 of PAX compared to yesterday. Tons of impressions, tweets, interviews yesterday and nothing today.

Edit: It's the QC demo being released in HD, not PAX. I'm hoping Todd throws in a bonus for us too since the footage has been available for nearly a month now.

Well, it's only 2:30 in Seattle right now. So, maybe in a few hours something will pop up.

Awesome, 80-100 spell types.

9 holds/regions
Yuuuuuuuuuus! If you're wanted in one region the guards in the other regions won't know it.

This is an informative catch all for PAX info/discussion thread and IMO the best thread(s) all weekend. What is annoying is all the threads the complainers start and restart constantly about old features from previous ES games that weren't that great in the first place. Stop being a douchewagon.

Thanks! What did he mean when he said "everyone is Swedish"? It's good too see everyone impressed with the production values even with a good month of polishing left. He also said it just felt "right".
