they better have gunz or im gonna hsjdjkalaksdfhfhjskalaksjdhf all over the place
You heard the man. Guns or he's gonna... how do you pronounce that?
"His jid jik alaks dif fih fih jisk alaks jid hif"
I dare you to say that.
Basic business principle. (and SD is a business) They will sell DLC. Whether that is in the form of "packs" or individual items, is yet to be seen. This is a way for them to maximize profits. They give us a product, and if we'd like.....we can "upgrade" for more money. ex. You can buy a car. Next guy can buy same car, but he may spend a little extra on the premium wheels, upgraded stereo, etc.
Yes, you can buy a car. Yes, you can make that car better. However, cars and games aren't the same in the fact that cars are not a competition.
Stock cars and games are a better comparision, in that Stock car racing
is a competition, and is immediately imbalanced (and illegal) if one racer fitted his car with jet engines just because he had that kind of money.
Just read through rest of post. Weapons etc, SHOULD be better. Not just a re-skin of existing weapons. You may not think it's fair, but guess what? It is. If someone is paying a premium, for DLC, it should be better or ppl won't bother with it. That said, it should hopefully not be so overpowered that it breaks the gameplay mechanics for everyone who doesn't have it.
In the same vein of my previous statement, If you start selling weapons that are
supposed to be better than the ones you got with the stock game, you put
everyone that didn't buy the DLC at a disadvantage. You force everyone to buy the DLC or be a horrible player. Any net advantage at all that seperates DLC players from stock Brink players destroys the customizability and maxmized player experience Splash Dmaage has been fighting for.
