Peaceful mean to eliminate unwanted dwellers

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:50 am

We all did it: we killed few unwanted dwelllers by sending them to Wasteland or causing "disaster" by rushing room repeately or letting the raiders do the job for me.

It may be just game.

But I feel some guilt about such deed. I feel some emotional uneasiness or resistance to do so. And as an advlt, I am worried how kids who plays this game will feel about such deed.

So we need some peaceful mean to let unwanted dweller go away from my vault. let them walk away my vault and move to other (imaginary) vault. It may be just cosmetic change or delusion, But we need such delusion for better peace of mind.

Good thing that there are no statistics about deaths ( or at least they don't show it to us). I killed at least 50.

After playing Fallout 3, there is no peaceful way for an unwanted dweller to leave a vault. "Exile or death."

This is hardly the proper attitude of a loyal Vault-Tec. employee who is suppose to function as an administrator in the Societal Preservation Program.

So sick of these bleeding heart, PC-hunting, whiney ninnies who just seek out nonsensical BS to get "offended" by.

Did you actually play Fallout? Have you actually played video games? Newsflash - people die and get killed. All. The. Time.

There's cannibilsm in Fallout. Murder. Theft. incist. Slavery. Freaking exploding corpses. If you don't like it, DONT PLAY. If parents have issues with the games their children play - DONT LET THEM PLAY THOSE GAMES.

This insurgance of outspoken morons looking for a way to get their weak "feelings" hurt by and find it necessary to force everyone ELSE to change is beyond sad. If these pathetic people have their way, we're going to all be playing Tetris and Candy Crush and that's it. Couldn't even play Mario because jumping on Koopas is "assault" and plants have feelings.

There is big difference in audiances between Fallout and Fallout shelters. Fallout series are generally rated as Mature contents. But FO shelters on iphone is rated as 12 YO+. So something from Fallout may not be appropriate for FOS.

And I don't insist that such killing should be removed or prohibited in FOS. If you prefer such killing, just enjoy yourself.

But there should be a CHOICE for who does not enjoy such thing and means to avoid it. Are you conformist who insist that every player of this game should enjoy same thing as you do? Not everyone is blood-thirsty or trigger-happy as you are.

Choice and Consequence would be a great addition, it is a Fallout (brandish) game after all ... Where's my Karma indicator?

At least, I have some mercy to give the unwanted dwellers a chance to survive the purge.

Even if I decide to purge them, I wait until they reach level 10. Then, I equip them with cheap +5-6 gun and +3 combat or luck outfit, and give them 3 Stimpaks and 1 Radaway to carry and send them away to the Wasteland for purging.

If they find some good stuff in Wasteland exploration before they die, they are revived and are given new second life chance. I am such a merciful overseer. :)
