correction, quiche is when pie said: "[censored] YOU, I WILL BE A PART OF BREAKFAST!"

But that might just be splitting hairs.

Well, as I don't like peanut butter I will stick to something boring with my omelet like cheese, or cheese and ham.

Anyone got any other horrible combinations for them? Sensible ones though. :)

Horrible? You want suggestions for horrible, sensible omelettes?

Made it. Pretty damn good. Has a nice earthy sweet flavor complimented well by the egg.

Apologies for the lack of pics. I like to wolf things down before taking pictures cause I'm a fatty. Do not fear, I will be making more tomorrow. Expect pics.

So unfortunately I didn't have any banana's today. Or peanut butter. Turns out my uncles fat [censored] of a girlfriend decided she needed to eat all 5 of my banana's and my jar of peanut butter. ([censored]) undeterred I decided to just close my eyes and pick two random items to be put into an omelet. The items? Cheese and Strawberries. Sounds horrible right? Welp, turns out they go pretty well together.

Note that these pics are from my horrible cellphone. So to reduce possible nausea from looking at these pics, http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss346/azaban/Photo-0009.jpg http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss346/azaban/Photo-0010.jpg
Again, horrible cellphone pics but better than the omelet ones.

so did you make it yet?

I tried to. I made one with peanut butter, but forgot to add the banana in the beginning of the process, so I thought it wasn't worth posting.

But that was just the beginning of my adventure that evening!

I added Fresno pepper to spice it up, and then sat down to try the strange omelet. It was at this unfortunate moment that I rubbed my eye (not having washed them since cutting the pepper). Then I ran to the bathroom, and, without washing my hands, proceeded to try and flush my eyes with water. This just made it worse; I was actually adding more pepper to my eyes by trying to flush without washing hands first! So I tried, blindly and in much pain, to wash my hands with dish soap before more eye flushing.

This went on for almost an hour until the burning was down enough for me to google "help freneso peper in eyrs what do" or something similar. Luckily, my father's girlfriend is a nurse, so I called her and was advised to rinse some more, and then put ice on it to prevent swelling. The only "ice" I had was a bag of "California-style" frozen vegetables... ironic for Fresno pepper.

Long story short: I'll try again and take pictures tomorrow morning.

PS: With just the peanut butter, it was alright! Strange texture, and I felt like Elvis eating it.

Anything is possible with an omelet. You can make an omelet out of an omelet by putting the smaller omelet inside the bigger one. Its been proven.

Half the time my egg sticks a bit to the pan and the whole kaboodle breaks apart at the flipping stage... So it winds up like scrambled eggs anyway. But to answer your question... Yes, any omelette can be made into a scrambler. Oily things like cheese, bacon and peanut butter actually help the process by helping coat the pan when contacted - sticky sugary ingredients can sometimes set it back if they're too predominant.

just 1 question what should one do in the event that the peanut butter catches fire? would it be an oil fire? in the past i remmber people talking about oil fires on the stove and the best way to put it out was to put something "white" on it what does that mean ? throw soap bubbles at it ???

any way back to the omelette topic

1) I'm almost certain that the probability of peanut butter setting on fire is incredibly low
2) Cover an oil fire with a blanket or something, throwing water on it is the worst thing you can do
