I don't really know if the mix of egg and peanut-butter would work for me. Never thought of something like that though.

Well, as I don't like peanut butter I will stick to something boring with my omelet like cheese, or cheese and ham.

Anyone got any other horrible combinations for them? Sensible ones though. :)

Peanut butter and banana work together like a dream, and egg is just the vessel... Just like bread would be if it were in a sandwich (which it usually is). Toss some bacon in there and you're golden.

I make quite possibly the best omelet you will ever eat. My recipe:
3 eggs
4 slices of Turkey
Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

I preheat the burner at a "6" out of "10" on the scale, and I put my canola oil on beforehand. I take the 3 eggs, crack em open and pour them into a cup before the pan. I then take the cheese, and pour it into the cup also. I then whip the eggs, mixed with the cheese. Pour that onto the pan once it's been heated for about 3 minutes, nice and hot, and then let it sit for about 20 seconds or so. I then take the 4 slices of turkey, fold them up, and place them so that they cover half of the omelet once it's folded over. I constantly run the spatula on the rim of the omelet to make sure the sides aren't sticking, then I flip it in half so that it's a half circle in the pan, then flip it over AGAIN once it's nice and melted so the cheese is runny.
Voila, perfect omelet with some ketchup.

I love omelettes and I love peanut butter, but I think they'd go better in a pancake!

Trust me it's amazing. Its not something most people think about, but it taste really good. You can substitute the turkey for..say ham for example, but I hate ham. :P

The peanut butter omelette might work. I've eaten Thai dishes before that have both eggs and peanuts in them. The bananas would add a little sweetness to it, and I think something spicy added would be nice as well.

I think I will cook this!

Agreed. Sounds OK together in a pancake, maybe melt the peanut butter and drizzle it on the cakes like warm syrup & add some walnuts or pecans too. But it sounds kinda yucky in an omelet. I might just give this a go this coming weekend.

Eggplant, peppers, olives, tomatoes. Asparagus in omlets is also good.

I like peanut butter on toast, in sandwiches (onion is good), on noodles with paprika, lime, and chili powder, on crackers, on apples, and on a spoon.

Not that I've tried any of the below, due to lack of ready ingredients at the same time... But here's 3 combos I would think work well:

1) Ground beef, onion, red pepper flakes, mashed potato, sharp cheddar. Top with ketchup.
2) Chicken briast, tomato, avocado, green peppers, monterey jack. Top with salsa.
3) Bacon or ham, asparagus, mushroom, brie cheese, black pepper. No topping. Or sub the brie for a hard cheese and top with hollandaise.

... Eeewww. To both putting ketchup on your omelette and to making a peanut butter one. That does not sound good.

Ham and cheese and mushrooms, please.
