[Rel] Pearls Enhanced

HedgeHog12 made a reflect-mapped pearl model. I wonder how difficult it'd be to get hold of him? I'd love to see these new pearls all shiny and pearly.

I got a great idea for you, you should make the grand pearl a pretty good soul gem and make grand pearls extra rare.

From discussions with Alaisiagae it sounds like reflect mapping (or at least bumpmapping) would disappear on an ingredient dropped from your inventory, but it might work :shrug: Otherwise they could simply be added with NifSkope.

Soulgems are hardcoded.

Reflect maps would be neat. I have no experience myself though, and I have no knowledge as to the plausibility of such an addition.

I'm grateful to see the interest in my mod though, thanks guys :)

Yes they had been sitting around on my computer for far too long. So I took a little time and got this released, thanks again for all your help it has been invaluable!

Unpatched, no. But using tetchy's patch for Pearls Enhanced (you can download it from the regular dl page) it might. I haven't checked tetchy's approach in his patches too thoroughly. But he DID make a patch for the Herbalism mod so it may be compatible with that great new mod :) let me know if it isn't.

Graphic Herbalism modifies kollops with it's own script unique to that mod. Pearls Enhanced - Herbalism for Purists patches won't work with it. So yes, they indeed do conflict - you won't get Pearls Enhanced pearls at all if you also load Graphic Herbalism regardless of load order.

I'm looking into making a patch for Graphic Herbalism. AFAIK Herbalism for Purists and Graphic Herbalism are the only herbalism mods that include kollops. Usually kollops are not considered plants (that's where Resources Enhanced comes in play), so I wasn't expecting someone to include them in a new herbalism mod. :facepalm:

I should probably look into doing the patches differently so as to make them more compatible with other herbalism mods besides HFP. Or at least design the patches to guarantee that Pearls Enhanced will override what changes future herbalism mods make to kollops, that way you'll always get Pearls Enhanced pearls if it's loaded after a herbalism mod that affects the kollops.

Pearls Enhanced has recieved a small update to clarify some of the written documents. If there are still things people would like clarified in the readme/description or something else. Please let me know!

This sounds good. Is it compatible with abot's Water Life and with MW Crafting? I can't play without either of those! ;o)

I would suggest using a leveled list merger if you use the plugin. But it should indeed be compatible with both of those (to the best of my knowledge). The only thing this mod alters is the leveled list for pearls. Original pearls can still be found at alchemy shops and such.
