I run the game through Nexus Mod Manager with the latest edition of SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender). This evening, I was having a strange error where the game kept crashing shortly after I exited the Riverwood Inn. Thinking it was a issue with my Mod List, I installed BOSS, only to have it tell me it can't find Skyrim.
In the troubleshooting section of BOSS, it recommends running the game via the Launcher in order to add it to the Registry. So I did that, and Steam commented that my Cloud Data did not match the data on the machine. I selected the local more recent data to be updated to the Cloud and let the Launcher Run. It ran for a good minute or two without launching the game, so I exited out of the Launcher and ran BOSS which now registered Skyrim.
However, now, whenever I go to launch Skyrim via the NMM and SKSE, it opens the game in some weird oversized resolution Window. I can't grab a screen cap of it (It just takes a normal Skyrim Screenshot), but imagine a Windowed Mode where the Start bar and all that are still visible on the bottom, but the Window itself "blows up" the image. Specifically, the Skyrim Start Screen...all I see is the Dragon Emblem. No menu, nothing. Along the top of the Windowed Mode, there are no "Minimize, Layer, Exit" options.
I can run the game normally through key commands and In Game itself conforms to the Screen Resolutions. The only downside is the Start Bar along the bottom and the Windowed Border along the top - plus the fact the Start Bar covers the subtitles. But otherwise the game is functional.
I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on how to restore the game to the traditional "Full Screen" mode. I've reinstalled SKSE, Verified the Cache Data of Skyrim, and checked my other Steam games - they all run fine in "Full Screen". I'm at a loss at what is causing this issue, but it very annoying and distracting.
