Aerin looked up as the man from before picked up her blade and handed it back to her. When he mentioned that they had met before she nodded. "Yes we did meet before, but I didn't catch your n-" she started as the captain caught up to he and the crimson clad Imperial.

"Hawk! Get back with your unit." The Dunmer ordered and Aerin sighed.

"Well guess that means I am gone again" The Imperial scout said as she turned around. "You might want to do what the captain says. This could only be the beginning of something worse" She said quietly as she saluted the captain said a quick "Yessir" and moved out from the alleyway, and back towards Fox's unit.

As she headed back to the unit she was assigned to, she couldn't help but wonder why the Imperial would be here in the first place. From his attire he seemed like an assassin of some sort, but she was not certain exactly what it was he truly was. But for Xerca to order her away from the man, he might be a bit more dangerous than she first realised. That or he didn't want to take any chances.

As the horns sounded, she kneeled down and unslung her bow, after sheathing her sword back in its scabbard. "Now let's see how many are left.."

Kai followed both the Dunmer and the woman out into the main street; he had decided that he would tag along, for now. "Which group do I go with?" he asked generally to anyone who heard him. He had assumed that the Dunmer known as Xerca was the leader of this little party but he wasn't fully sure.

Wondering how many of the crazed were left and probably more importantly how many of the un-crazed were not yet dead, Kai pulled the mask further up the bridge of his nose, as he was battered by the cold winds, as well as pulling his hood up over his head to shelter the back of his neck.

He glanced at Hawk, before nodding, there was something about her he liked, something rebellious, and he knew she didn't really want to be here following under Xerca's rulings, as he guessed that most others wouldn't. For the first time he had noticed the whole group was together, a huge mix of most of Tamriels races, with an Argonian, an Altmer, a Breton, a Dunmer, a Bosmer and many Imperials.

Alberon was breaking the head off of a broom to use as a basic staff when he heard "Which group do I go with?" At this the mage turned and realised that it was the strangely clad Imperial.

I'd wondered were he'd got to.
Yeah, he should come with this group.
How so?
Well I'm probably the smartest person in the squad, and Xerca's easily the best fighter so if this guy tries to kill us all we could handle it easier.
...Fair enough.
..Eloquent.

'Ey Imperial, come with us we've got the best fighters and the best mage in the squad.' called out Alberon with a grin.

The Imperial was about to respond when a wall seemed to explode. Axe wielding barbarians pouring through the hole, not a one of them uder six foot tall.

ooc: For future referances: if I could spawn the enemies, that'd be awesome :P Ofcourse, send me PM's about any storylines/events you wish to add to the RP to make things more interesting.

Xerca nearly fell down in surprise, he raised his sword and slashed out at the nearest monster in defense more then attack, he wanted to put space between them and us, "SHIELDS!" he called out, he swore to himself at how he had forgotten his and decided to use it to his advantage; A wall shield would protect the men and they could use the spears at the back to kill them, but Xerca had neither.

He regained his footing and charged, slashing up and following through with his body so the sword ripped through the great man's chest. He could tell his body couldn't take much more combat when he realised how much effort he had to put into the move. But one of the men were killed and that was the main thing. He drew back as he watched the great man fall back upon his brothers and chaos consumed the crazed monsters as they began to get toppled over by one another, "Use the moment!" he cried and heaved his body forward.

The enemy was confused, now all they needed was to push through them and kill as many as they could before the enemy realised what was happening.

Kai was shocked as much as the rest of the group, but it was more chance to spill blood, and as the first Nords approached he flicked the blade at his wrist ready for combat. Hearing and ignoring the call from the Dunmer that he assumed to be leader "Shields!", Kai began a run toward the first of the Nords, spotting a large one, with long waving blond hair, drooling from the corners of his mouth and clad in a thick fur, his weapon of choice seemed to be a warhammer, Kai's favourite type of enemy. Slow. He dodged between the incoming Nords, running for his target.

They collided instantaneously, Kai having avoided a slow swing from the giant hammer and throwing his body weight into the enemy, but to no avail and the Nord did not fall, merely glancing Kai off and turning to swing again. Kai was in a bad state, with only half of his balance and the warhammer coming round again. He fell, the lofty hammer skimming over his neatly flicked fringe as he crashed to the snow covered cobbles.

Using the momentum Kai, lifted his foot hard into the padded groin of his opponent. Crazed or not, he was still male, and the sharp pain spread through the Nords face, turning a pale purple before dropping his hammer to the ground and clutching his crotch. Kai had to roll out of the way to avoid the weighty hammer that smashed on the floor next to him, sending shards of rock flying.

The Nord was not done yet though, as he regained awareness and met Kai's grin that lay in the snow. He raised his hefty fur boot, before bringing down hard, Kai had no time to move, but instead raised his arms to block the boot in a sort of 'X' shape. It hurt like mad and Kai struggled to keep the boot inches away from his own face, the Nord constantly pushing down. Kai gave a little, using the Nords downward momentum to push himself just wide of the boot, he flung his arm from underneath the boot up at the Nord's leg, unleashing his razor sharp blade, digging deep into the flesh and bone of the limb, ripping through and near slicing it in half.

Kai screamed with pleasure as he slid his blade from the leg and planted it into the groin of the lunatic Nord. Pushing harder and harder and feeling the blade go the whole way in. The Nords face turned pale, with all his blood seeming to now cover Kai's arm as his blade was fully immersed in the inner thigh of the Nord. A swift motion and Kai slid the blade up the leg splitting the skin and spraying blood over his face and clothes, before finally pulling it free and pushing the Nord to the ground.

"Easy." He muttered as he got back to his feet. But there was no time for comments as another Nord slammed into him, knocking him unconscious and sending him flying to a nearby ally.

"Damn it!" Sulla exclaimed as he took a horn from one of his men's hands, "That woman is going to be the death of us all!" He blew as hard as he could on the trumpet, hoping that Xerca's unit would not be in too much trouble. After he put away the horn blew he ran forward, his men following right behind him. "The eastern side might be easier to handle." he thought as he drew his sword, "That means I better not screw this up since I have less enemies."

They were coming up to some houses, but Sulla didn't have time to search them himself. "If anyone is alive, come outside and head to the docks! I repeat, head to the docks!" He then whipped his head around and looked at the closest men behind him. "Five of you stay behind for a few minutes and wait for survivors. If noone comes out after five minutes, move to the docks!"

Five men slowed down and fell behind the rest of the moving group to follow his orders, and it made Sulla feel powerful to have command over them. He pulled out the horn again and gave it a good blow, hoping that some enemies would come his way.

Derlin grinned, "better to meet friends than find bodies I suppose, but I can't stay with you, I need to meet up with this Xerca, else I won't really be able to act within imperial law. Technicalities are truly a burden; farewell, and good luck to you and your men, looks like I'm heading north" Derlin continued his trek through the town. After a moment or two he heard the cry of a legionnaire's horn, followed shortly by two more of the haunting shriek's emanating from the soldier's instruments. He continued walking, changing his directly slightly to coincide with the directionality of the horn blasts.

After several minutes of moving Derlin heard the sound of foot steps coming from behind him, he stopped and pirouetted around to see a man about his size with long, strait black hair, wearing black armor of strange design. A look of evil emanated from his every orifice as he looked up to meet Derlin's stare. His eyes... his eyes were the same as his own, the same blue with red flecking which had brought him so much honor and torment. Derlin lowered his blade a bit in astonishment, which was a massive mistake on his part; the man charged him and lashed out at Derlin with a pair of crescent moon blades. Derlin blocked the right blade, but took a hit in his face from a fist which was closed around the hilt of the other blade, which shook him to his core and knocked him down.

Something about this man was strange, he didn't move as if he was under some spell, every movement was deliberate and voluntary. Derlin stood up and turned to face his new opponent "who the hell are you" he spat.

"I'm you... you're me... we're all everyone... so my identity matters little" he charged again at the end of this sentence. Derlin dove to the side and drew his dagger as he went down so he could defend both sides. He had finally gotten proper footing when the strange man walked up to him, waving his blades around defensively. Derlin struck, he feinted with the falchion and slashed the dagger low, it met steel, he drove the falchion into a stab and got parried, the man's free blade arcing down to split Derlin's skull. He slid his body to the left so the slashing blade only met air and jammed the dagger into the man's kidney. He screamed, ripping the viscious blade from his side and retreated. Derlin gave chase, but the man completely disappeared after turning a corner.

"What in the hell is going on here" Derling grunted, spitting out a small amount of blood. He heard the sound of weapons clashing in the distance "There's still work to be done here I suppose." He took off in the direction of the fighting after retrieving his dagger.

After several more minutes of running he found a battle between crazed Nords and legionnaires. He dove into the battle, his full body weight taking down a Nord of medium build carrying a spiked club, Derlin drove his dagger into the Nord's heart and looked up, looks like he had arrived in the nick of time, the legionnaires had just apparently been ambushed, though there were numerous other foes, who seemed to be, at the moment, in a state of frenzy and confusion as they tripped over one another for some odd reason.

Xerca had let go of his sword and was now using a dagger to stab into the men, there was no space for swordplay, not with the rest of his unit pushing behind him. The small fight had lasted minutes, but it had taken a heavy toll on many of the men, the large nords were tough to kill and had the force of many bulls. It was no wonder that many were sitting on dead bodies trying to capture their breath.

It was then; that Xerca noticed a different nord, he was about to grab the nearest weapon and attack when he realised he was no foe. The man stood tall and seemed to be in control of his body. Xerca looked to the floor and grabbed his golden steel helmet and placed it squarely upon his head. "Alright men, we haven't got long so let's make the most of it, I know you're tired, but it's not far, drop your shields, you wont need them now. Only keep your smaller weapons as we're heading into narrow streets. Archers, there's no point in your bows now, i'd recommend picking up a blade if you haven't already." He said, his voice was hoarse and his face was wet with sweat. He looked to the new nord.

"You, civillian, we're heading to the dock, come, we cannot stay idle for long." He stated before taking another strained blow on the loud; booming horn. With that, he started to move swiftly forward, it was a half jog, and each step was more painful then the next. He imagined the bed on the way back to Morrowind, he smiled, it was going to be one hell of a day.

"I take it your Xerca, I was sent by the Hammerfell Military as a liaison acting as an attachment to your unit; a symbol of good faith per say." He looked the Dunmer up and down, "the docks are already secure, i came on a ship with several dozen of your fellow legionnaires receiving a new assignment on this hellhole, last I saw it was fully secured." Derlin was impressed by this man's appearance, though he appeared rather ragged and tired looking, "I suggest we try to secure as much of the rest of the city as we can and figure out exactly what is going on and why all of these innocent people have been driven mad, can't be the hospitality."

When Sulla yelled about her, she couldn't help but throw a glare in his general direction. Well sorrrrry for doing my job.. ass She thought to herself as she returned to the group, but turned around to see how Xerca's group was doing. Unlike her group, they seemed to be in a bit of trouble, making her groan in frustration.

Yet, before she could do anything the battle seemed to be over for the moment, yet the crimson clad Imperial seemed to be on the ground, with no one seeming to see if he was alright. The man had been thrown in her general direction, and she moved back towards him despite what Sulla would say. Reaching the man she removed an armoured glove, and slapped the man hard across the face. "Don't sleep on the job now. Not very safe" She said as she stood up, seeing if the hard hit would wake the man up.

Blake was to busy not paying attention to even notice the strange Imperial man. He followed a few feet behind Xerca, fumbling with his new bow as well. Something about it seemed strange...
Ever since he got the Bow, he felt more alert, but calm as well. He couldn't explain it.

He suddenly stopped in his tracks as he heard something. The Argonian Legionnaire froze, and looked around. The other men walked ahead of him, seeming not to hear what he heard. Blake bolted his head towards the wall they were walking by, he heard a small 'thump'.
He approached the wall with caution, then placed his hand on it. There it was again! A small thump, then followed by what sounded like a match being lit.

Blake backed away from the wall, only to see a section no more then ten meters away from him, erupt in flame with a deafening bang. He fell on his back and covered himself with his arms, thinking the explosion would come for him. He remained in that position for several seconds, then realized that he wasn't dead.

"SHIELDS!"

Boomed a loud voice. Blake jumped and looked to his right. It was Xerca, The Dunmer captain held out his sword and charged forward.
Blake looked back at the wall, seeing dozens of Nords piling out. He grunted loudly as he pulled himself to his feet, then withdrew the steel longbow on his shoulder. Forcing his muscles to comply, He ran to join the other Legionnaires. He hung back a few meters to provide support. The Reptilian Archer withdrew an arrow from the quiver on his back, and took aim.

Without realizing, he let go of the bow-string. The arrow traveled at a unnatural fast speed and made contact with the steel helmet of a Nord Barbarian. The steel arrow tip punched through the the armor like forehead cover like tin foil, into the brain, and surprisingly out the back of the head. The arrow continued down its path, then punched through a Barbarians chest deeply, only the small feathered end stuck out. There, the arrow stayed, and it's victim hunched over and fell to its side.
Blake looked in shock, Holy.....Did It just...?
His thoughts were interrupted by Xerca's booming voice again, Blake looked over, seeing, that the small skirmish was over. He looked around with a confused look. The battle had only lasted mere minutes!

He snapped himself back into reality, then located and ran to catch up with his comrades, making sure not to stumble over any of the corpses on the blood-stained snow. In time to hear the Dunmer Captain saying that the Archers should drop their bows and find a good sword.
Blake looked at the Bow clamped in his palm. Something was up with this bow, it just gave an arrow the power to pierce through Armor like butter. He eyed the bow suspiciously, then slung the bow over his shoulder. I think I'll hang onto this...

ooc: I think I'm getting somewhat better :)

Xerca nodded as he continued to walk, "That's the plan, we're using these horns to attract the monsters, draw them out of the residential areas and sweep around towards the docks where we'll head straight into the middle and clear the rest out. If what you say is true, then we should have a very easy time capturing the city." He added, he looked behind him to make sure the rest of his men were moving. He understood that they were tired, but no one was to die now. "Come on! Call yourself soldiers!" he barked and smirked slightly to the Nord.

"Alright Nord, let's hope you can represent your country well in battle."

"Do not worry about that, I'll have your jaw dragging on the ground by the time this ordeal has been dealt with." Derlin began twirling his falchion in several circular arcs before retuning it to it's sheath on his back. "So what orders do you have for us sir" Derlin asked almost sarcastically given the fact Xerca basically just gave a play-by-play of what he was planning on.

"And the name is Derlin Sfentir, not Nord; I am by all traditional means a Redguard, though I share not their appearance, I do carry their values and spirit. So I would appreciate being referred to by my actual name."

"Sorry nord, right now, after a full day of marching and fighting, I wont be remembering anything but how numb my feet are." He stated, not liking the mans cocky attitude, truthfully however; he just didn't like nords. They were the one reason he was sent to this god forsaken wasteland, and they'll probably be the death of him.

He took the chance to blow hard again on his horn, they'd fair amounts of progress, another 30 minutes walk and they'd be at the docks, where they could then move into the main city. But if what the nord had said was true, they'd be very little left.

OOC: sorry aboot not asking you Uglius :sadvaultboy:

Alberon grinned as he heard Xerca's response, it quickly faded as he remembered that his short sword was hilt-deep in the skull of a Nord.

'Arghh, filthy [censored] of a blade.' proclaimed Alberon, after several long minutes of trying, finally pulling the blade free. At the sound of Xerca's horn, Alberon shot a fire ball that would explode in the air and draw out more Nords.

Remembering the new blood that had joined them, Alberon walked up to the Nord, held out his hand and said
'Ahh don't worry about Xerca, he's just angry because he can't stand the cold.' laughed the pale mage.

"I was gonna suggest that he had an Orc's head shoved several feet up his [censored], but I suppose that's as good of a suggestion as any" responded Derlin, embracing the armored wizard's hand in a warm handshake. "Name's Derlin Sfentir, liutenant of Hammerfell's legendary Ruby Guard, (OOC: Figured I'd give it a name) it's a pleasure to meet you Breton" he finished with a sarcastic tone, imitating that of his new commanding officer. "In truth though, what is your name, I've always found people to be more fun once you know their name."

Alberon laughed at Sfentir's witty response, this'll be interesting thought Alberon.

'My name is Alberon Lambert, warlock of the mages guild, Im from Ch...Anvil originally'. replied Alberon

Dammit, I have to be more careful.
Really, I would never have guessed.
So he's from Hammerfell eh? might be useful.

'So where in Hammerfell are you from Derlin?' Asked the mage as he shifted his right pauldron around. It had been knocked loose in the battle.

"I was raised by a tribe of nomadic Redguard in the Alik'r desert, but ultimately ended up in the city of Rihad; joined the Ruby Guard after a short time there and got some rather high recognition during the Oblivion Wars" Derlin responded. "So what kind of guy is this Xerca? Seems pretty abrasive to me, definitely lacks a sense of humor."

"But he makes up for it in his hearing Nord. Watch your tongue or you'll be transfered to a unit that's stationed in this hell hole." Xerca warned, he'd only known the Nord for a short amount of time but already he would've prefered the company of the altmer.

Xerca reared a corner and stared in horror at the sight that beheld him; it was a long narrow street that ran almost all the way to the centre of the city and was once a large shopping district. But now there was nothing but dead bodies littering the floor, some shoved onto spikes, others missing limbs, alot were half eaten. It was revolting.

Xerca shuddered and quickly turned away, his stomach nearly gave way at the stench of the mutilated corpses.. He took a deep breath but regretted it as the smell of blood and guts filled his lungs. He looked towards the men, one or two had thrown up, "Alright soldiers, let's get moving." He forced himself to say, his body resisted for a second but he soon continued to head towards the docks.

Alberon's mind was racing as he spat the bitter taste of bile from his throat

Ahhh hell I haven't seen violence like this since Cylarne.
Hush fool! He wouldn't want us these fools to find me out.
None of these weaklings could read me.
The Altmer might.
Hah, you can't break deadric magic.
....True.

'Cap'n Xerca' called Alberon 'I think I've learnt something new about the spell. The Dunmer's silence seemed to beg him to continue. 'The cannabilism seems to indicate one of two things either One, these Nords are insane or that this spell could only really have been cast by Manimarcco, Magnus or Me.'
