i'm of the official forum pervert, and i've heard adn seen for myself that faces have definitely been improved...but something to think: bethesda will show us the best. they will not show us the less on point parts. so what do you think the faces will be like in skyrim? also there is the fact that you only pick your GENERAL appearance, and not super detailed with sliders like in oblivion.

I think faces will look a lot more realistic, and not like weird masks.

Honestly, I couldn't stand the sliders in Oblivion. The sliders affected each other in ways that were not immediately obvious (at least to me), and I could spend quite a bit of time fooling around with them and still only end up with something that was bland at best. It just didn't seem worth the effort for me. So I welcome the idea of a simpler process for selecting character appearance.

As for what I think the faces will be like in Skyrim. I don't care if they are all beautiful. In fact, they shouldn't be all beautiful--this isn't TV land, after all. I just want them to look natural. From what we've seen so far, I think that's what we'll get.

Well from what I've seen in the screens and trailer they look adequate. Nothing special but definitely an improvement over oblivion's play-doh monsters.

Well forum pervert. It has been said there will be presets and sliders to further adjust them, though perhaps not the number that OB had.

Well, one thing that really stands out for me is on the Weekend Confirmed podcast, from the BFG event, they say that the faces still look weird and stand out which was the only negative thing they had to say about Skyrim. But from what we have seen in the screenshots the faces look really good imo, so I don't really know what to believe yet until I see actual gameplay footage for myself.

if any of you guys have played the FIFA soccer games, i think that has one of the best character creation sytems out there. i would love to see that copied and pasted in skyrim

the faces have been greatly improved this time, todd howard mentioned it a couple times and we saw some pretty good screens of them
