it happens every time they announce a new game. the forums die down fast once the game comes out, 30 users at a time is what I have observed once the game has been out. the MW forum still gets traffic daily, the discussions just are real time is all, if you posted something in MW forum check back in a couple of hours or the next day. OB is a little better. but considering how most forum sites die completely after a year following the games release the MW forums look pretty active. its been almost 10 years right? when did the MW forum start?

Yeh its totally amazing that people are more interested in discussing Skyrim instead of Morrowind. Its simply mind boggling.

It's only natural to see an increase in activity when new information of an upcoming game is released. Every title released in the past has seen this same behaviour in forum activity and member 'migration'.

I fail to see why a thread is required on this though as it has little to do with the game Skyrim and more with member behaviour on game forums in general, so I think it's best to close this one ;)
