Do people use Bing?

I can't get into it. I'm too used to Google, to be honest.

I use the Bing Bar; I'm slowly accumulating points to redeem for Microsoft Points. I don't really use it for image searches; as stated above, I also find them to be of better quality. My problem is that I sometimes have to be incredibly specific about the image search, or it comes up with odd results. As such, I use Yahoo for image searches, rather than Bing. I haven't used Blackle (environment friendly Google) in months.

Just my experiences with it.

I mainly use Google, even on my WP7. Not because I think it's better than Bing, but just because I've always used Google.

Plus my main email account is a gmail account, so that contributes to it as well.

I use Google because it's page loads the fastest.

That's hilarious when you consider the fact that Bing powers Yahoo Search

last I thought was just because something powers something else doesn't mean they have the same exact thing. You don't believe me search yourself.

That's what I'm saying: Bing's washing the results for Yahoo while holding theirs higher

I use dogpile. I only use google if I'm searching for images, their regular search feels all wrong to me.

Google is definitely the winner in my books. I'm not biased against Bing, it just doesn't get me the results I want, Google does. Then again, that's for web searches, image searches they're about equal, but display different results, so if I'm stuck and can't find a good image I'll check Bing.

I tried Bing when the commercials just started to come out. Frankly, it svcked. Felt like only a handful of hits, retrieved slowly, compared to google's gazillion. Haven't really tried it again since.

I use both. I sometimes use Kartoo as well. I like Bing for the video and the images. It gives much better results than Google.

Never tried Bing, I have Google set as my home page.

This topic reminded me of the Mrs Dewey search engine - rubbish at searching but entertaining. It seems to have been dropped.

I pretty much only use google. Bing is just something different and I'm used to typing google in :P. I have a few friends who use bing (the majority being girls), but they just like the visual aspect of it more than anything.

Yea, same here. My Blackberry had Bing set as the default search engine, but my Droid I have Google set as my home page. I usually am able to find what I need.

I've tried Bing, but the top results never seem to come up with what I want. Not to mention all the needless features everywhere. I'll stick with Google.

The only I've ever heard of people using Bing is because they don't like Google as a company.

Bing:

Because
It's
Not
Google

I mainly use google but I wonder if people do use this search engine made by MS.

10 or more years ago I always used dozens of search engine to get the data I want, (ex: Yahoo, Alta Vista, etc).

for last couple years, I only used Google and lately (I know im late to this) found Bing and it looks ok.

what are the public opinions on Bing?

used it to get some sweet online shopping discounts when they had Bing cashback going (up to 25% for HP laptops)

I think I received a total of a few thousand dollars in checks from Microsoft, even got some checks for stuff that I ended up RMA'ing later. seems like they were not very organized.

as soon as they stopped the cashback program....never touched the site again

I like the original poster, used alot of different search engines, but now just use google. I can't be bothered with anything else, Espically Bing. It just looks to fance, while google is nice and simple less cluttered.

*edit* Just finised reading all the posts. somone mentioned how Bing just has a few hits, while google has a gizzlion hits. Thing is for me, I give up after page 3 or 4, so the gazzilion hits really don't matter.

Lately I have found Google not giving me what I am looking for. Maybe I should try Bing and see if there is a difference.

I still mainly use Yahoo about 10 years later, sometimes Google, and don't even bother with Bing. Didn't know it was Microsoft's search engine, which goes to show how little I care about it.

I'm a firm believer that there should be competition in the internet information race. I don't like the idea that a single company has become the internet information overlord. I think it would be really good for Google to have some real competitors in the search business. That said, I'm a hypocrite and a creature of habit, so I typically use Google. :)
