I was just wondering, Percy here was the Guildmaster before Sjoring, and was an ally to the thieves guild. He tells to Neveranine that dark times are ahead. Is it ever said that he knew about the assassinations going to with the Septim family? I know it's six years before the crisis but doesn't the killings begin around Incarnates time right?

He's not reffering to Dagoth Ur is he?

Maybe he is simply a pessimist? And he had quite a strong reasons to be pessimistic, the enddays of Empire were visible even without Dagon.

Percius is mighty well clued in; presumably he still has some reliable contacts in The Guild, which has eyes and ears everywhere. I think he believes the reports he has been receiving presage some great trouble in the Empire, which in fact was the rise of the Mythic Dawn and the assassination of the heirs, but such specifics are not to be found in Morrowind.

The problem with trying to figure this out is that the situation at the start of Oblivion has nothing to do with what was implied in Morrowind.

In Morrowind they said that there are rumors that the Imperial heirs have been replaced and impersonated by Daedra and a big mob assembled to demand their exile. The Imperial Guard charged the mob and a lot of people were killed. Cyrodiil was supposedly in chaos.

Oblivion completely ditched this storyline and pretended it never happened.

What about Eno Romari and his End of Times cult in Mournhold?

"We realize that the end of the era will bring many changes. We believe that the gates of Oblivion will open, and the multitude of daedra will roam this world freely. Some might tell you that this is a good thing, that we are descended from the daedra and it will be a return to the natural order of things. I know differently, though. The coming age will be a time of great horror."

Seems like a few people knew what was coming, even if they had the causes mixed up.

There was a theory floating around tha Eno Romari was Sotha Sil. Either way, I don't think the crisis was all that hard to predict. Even if they had stayed with MW's discord in Cyrodiil, the emperor would eventually have died, and for those believing his heirs were false that meant a failing of the dragonfires and the invasion of Oblivion.

But would it have been enough rejection to nullify the ability to wear the Amulet?

dono, and it doesn't really matter since plenty of non-royal-blood folks have worn it. for those making doomsday prophesies based solely on the amulet, impostor heirs would probably have not been able to wear the amulet.

Here's something, why didn't Nereverine try and help? He knew that it was a possibility and he was obviously strong enough to help. Did he think someone else deserved the limelight? Did he know the Champ 6 years prior? See him or something? I know the starr of oblivion entails Champ was just thrown in at the time.

I believe the Nerevarine left before the crisis started. He wouldn't have known.

It's really hard to state anything, until the devs/canon authors tell us so, but one could speculate that since the world of the Elder Scrolls is, in large part, driven by prophecy (as contained in the titular Elder Scrolls), that certain prophecies may have come to the attention of the Nerevarine (or, as is often the case, the Nerevarine may have been ignorant of the prophecies, but propelled along by them, anyhow).

Since he went off to Akavir, it suggests that it wasn't his fated role to be the Champion of Cyrodill, and the fates had other adventures for him/her in Akavir. At this point, I don't think it's going to happen, but I had hoped that maybe Bethesda had been planning another game based on the Nerevarine's adventures in Akavir, which would have been contemporaneous (lore-wise) with the events in Tamriel.

The fact that (s)he went to akavir doesn't really matter - (s)he may not even have gone there. what matters is that (s)he disappeared from Morrowind sometime after defeating Ur and dethroning the Tribunal, never to be seen again. It being akavir instead of yokuda, akamora, or thras relies (imo) on the journey of Nerevar in the 36 lessons.
